    My laptop's GNOME just broke... couldn't type anything, it just was beeping. Had to login as root to be able to do anything.
    Then I traced the problem to my configuration files and solved it by creating a new account. Way to go, GNOME.
    I'll switch to XFCE too as I like it on another machine.

    In Malta the public health service is free and it is one of the best you can imagine.

    We managed to get a reallly good system. We even have a state of the art new hospital now.
    I guess our country is the only place where it has worked :)

    Start with either Eccleston (2005 series) / 9th Doc or 11th Doctor (Matt Smith). Both are good to start.

    Once you get to Tennant (10th) you can review some old eps eg 4th Doctor ones.
    I'd avoid 'web planet' - that was unwatchable to me too.

    bump parent up.. it's not worded properly but he has a point.

    In the application area of video processing, moore's law hasn't been a problem if you switch to multicore processors and run multthreaded software for video encoding.
    The more cores you can throw at the problem, the better.

    If you're with a date and want to have a couple of coffees and TALK with your date, 30 minutes should NOT be enough. One hour or 1.5 hrs should be, though.

    Here in Malta you have to give back the glasses too. Plus some glasses are really smudged and it's hard to see through them :(

    Also you can't translate a work into a language with not so many speakers as english, as a result, as it would not be commercially viable.

    Only free stuff or very old stuff gets translated.
