You *might* have a point about the connectors, but then again, that applies to many, many electronics manufacturers. You are *not* locked to iTunes, neither for the store or for updating your iPod. Spin your FUD elsewhere .
"Ummm... create original material instead of trying to cash in on other people's fame?"
So you don't think that say...Weird Al should be allowed to parody people's songs? (I know he seeks permission, but legally he doesn't have to, he's just being polite. See the dust-up with Coolio over "Amish Paradise")
I know an Canadian artist who is also signed to Warner/Sire in the US. Her latest album was a bit of a departure from her last one and Sire was too scared to support it in the US so she signed a distribution deal with a indie label for this album. Currently this album is #2 on the iTunes Pop chart and #18 overall.
tl;dr - Record labels are run by idiots who only want to release music for the lowest common denominator.
I don't know when people started taking the stance that all opinions and all sources should be given equal time and weight, but it has led to a massively uninformed populace.
I'm not in total disagreement with you, but another factor to consider is the ease at which we can move from place to place. Someone could contract a disease half a world away and spread it before anyone even knew they were infected.
You're venting at the wrong company. The Atari that actually created all those wonderful games, consoles and computers died a long time ago. The litigious company in question only has it's name.
I find it interesting that they targeted a barely used domain instead of going after http://www.atari2600.com/ which actually sells merchandise or http://www.atariage.com/ my guess is that they're going after the low-hanging fruit first.
Obama never claimed to "find" his birth certificate. He claimed all along that it was in the safekeeping of the Hawaiian State Government, and lo and behold, it was.
Look up what a scientific theory entails and maybe you can post without someone calling you an imbecile. Intelligent Design isn't even a decent hypothesis, let alone a theory. You're the one with a closed mind.
Letting companies pollute at will, privatizing schools and roads, making the healthcare situation in this country far worse than the lousy state it's already in, increasing the number of homeless to unimaginable levels....oh yeah, how could anyone resist that.

What exactly is "locked-down" about an iPod? (note: I'm not referring to the iPod Touch or iPhone)
"Other than that, the study is an Apple fanboy propaganda piece"
[citation needed] to me, you sound like a butthurt Android apologist (and this is speaking as an owner of a Galaxy Tab)

"And the free lawyer is rarely as good as the paid lawyer. Otherwise, they would be working for higher pay in the private sector."
I hate to tell you this, but many of those high-priced lawyers do pro bono work.
Ron Paul is still nuts
Almost every computer component is made overseas. Take a look at a bog-standard PC and see how many Foxconn components you find.
Yeah, between my original post and my follow up "Siberia" dropped to #5. Sorry for the confusion.
Not Euro. US as I stated. The artist in question is Lights and the album is "Siberia"

Nice to see Godwin is alive and well.

Please be trolling.
Incorrect. The incident you are referencing took place in Oakland, not SF and it was over two years ago. This protest was about the shooting of a guy who was brandishing a knife on the subway platform. http://blogs.kqed.org/newsfix/2011/07/21/bart-to-release-video-of-civic-center-shooting-on-the-web-at-3-p-m/

Oh that's right, anyone who is homeless is a alcoholic or a drug addict. Kindly go fuck yourself.

In other words, bullshit from a libertarian think-tank. Par for the course.
Still doesn't make it legal for someone to walk in and take your shit.
Which is what exactly? Seems to me that as time passes, the value gained from jailbreaking becomes less and less.
It's understandable that you posted as AC. I wouldn't sign my name to that drivel either.
