Mobile games are shit. Books on mobiles isn't so bad so e-books will definitely over take one of the shittiest forms of gaming.

  2. What about my "no fat chicks" sign? on Evolution's Path May Lead To Shorter, Heavier Women · · Score: 1, Troll

The reason is that the poor breed like cockroaches. They're more likely to be short and fat. The well off take care of themselves and they also work so they're less likely to have kids or as many.

We're effectively stalling evolution and will take a step back thanks to protecting the ignorant and lazy. Time to start making people jog on the tread mill to earn those welfare checks.

While I agree that just taking the music isn't right. Who says music should be the price that it is? It's only a relatively recent thing where most musicians could be rich spoiled jerks.

We have to assume society deemed them worthy of it. Maybe things have gone too far and people have realise they're not worth it. I see a legitimate reason why, for example, Madonna deserves to have millions as do the people working for her record label.

Surely not having a job where you have to scoop shit out of a public toilet should be payment enough.

Musicians are just doing what any other employee would do once their job has been devalued but I don't think they'll be able to stop it. Mainly because so few of them can actually sing and play an instrument without the computer doing the bulk of the work. Quite frankly, I'd be happy to what they're asking as long as the money goes towards the one doing most of the work - the computer.

Best I can tell is that automatics aren't as popular in some areas because, at least initially, small engines are shit with an automatic transmission. So when you're in a country with expensive petrol, it's hard to justify a big engine.

I'm sure that has changed and will continue to change. There is just no real reason for manual transmissions. Especially when a lot of people aren't coordinated enough to shift, drive, talk to someone and whatever else they feel like doing.

People who think it makes them more manly to shift are just out dated dickheads who can't afford a real sports car that likely won't be truly manual either.

The roads are becoming more crowded. Imo, something has to change. I don't think ticketing people is necessarily the answer. They just need to take away licences for a minimum of 5 years when people do something stupid.

This is in the UK and I'm buying loads of old movies for anywhere from £1 to £5. Considering, if I recall, last time I went to Blockbuster it was around £3 or £5 to get a movie, I don't see the point. Hell, even a new release can be £9 to £12 and if you have any intention of watching it more than once then it still works out in your favour.

I think it's still beneficial in the US. Your upper end of the scale accounts for Blu-Ray (or poor shopping skills) and, for me personally, I won't move to Blu-Ray yet. I don't have an HD-TV and I'm just not interested.

Maybe I'm different but I've watched all my movies at least 3 times, even the rubbish like Hercules in New York. I've watch Reservoir Dogs about a million times. That would not be sensible with renting. :P

Geocities could at least give people a platform to learn web design and development. You don't get that really with most social sites these days and most people's myspace site is ugly as sin so in some ways we haven't really advanced.

I just can not risk losing my hard drive when I may be away from home and unable to dump my work onto rsync.net or my home server.

Can anyone find me some solid proof that this has been sorted? I'm still having odd issues with Ubuntu and WEP. It may be fine to say you should use WPA but I can't force everyone I interact with to use it and quite frankly it shouldn't be having issues when it's like the biggest distro around.
