This is a movie that I didn't think I'd like. I rented it one day when I was bored and liked it so much that I drove out to the store as soon as I was done watching it and bought it.
I'd be surprised if this movie wins best picture but I hope that it wins for film editing and cinematography. If you you have ever been involved in filming and/or editing you can see how this movie is just a work of art.
I was hooked to Majestic and played a couple of the chapters but ended up cancelling. Why? Because the gameplay was too slow.
You would work through certain tasks and then you'd be put on "Standby mode" for about 24 hours and you couldn't do anything else.
I realize that this made it look as if the other characters in the game were working on their tasks but it was frustrating because I felt I wasn't always getting my money's worth of gameplay and at the same time, it would break the mood. You got into the game and were forced to stop.

It's hard to explain the feel of these bills. I live in the US so I handle US bills daily. These Euros feel a little different but they feel sturdy.
The hologram is only on one side of the bill, it's not visible on the other side.
My guess is that these bills were through all kind of checks and experiments before being given the final approval. Probably the same type of stuff that we did here when we released the new dollar bills.

I was able to get a hold of a couple Euros and I took a picture with the only bill I had at home at the moment (a $2 bill)
Check out the TiVo wishlists, you can do all that type of stuff.
As for the 2-4 hr indexing - you can still use your unit during the indexing, and the indexing happens after the phonecall, usually in the middle of the night. Ths is never an issue for me.
What I hate about these ads is that they are actually covering the content that I am trying to read (which is the reason why I came to the site to begin with). So I have started visiting those sites less and less everyday.
It is as if you were trying to watch TV and a guy with a "Buy M&Ms" sign would step in front of the TV while my show is going on.
I can call a catalog, say PC Connection, and buy something without being charged any taxes.
I wonder if this could be used to get around Internet sales taxes. I could add things to my shopping cart, receive a "pin code", call a toll-free number, punch in my credit card number and my sale is now a telephone sale and not an Internet sale.
I own this watch. It's a little bulky, but a great fun toy. The pictures are not the best, but they are decent considering that they are taken by a watch, and it can store 80 pictures! Picture of me taken by the watch
I take pics with the watch, I then beam them to my Palm and they are downloaded to my computer when I hotsync.
I have a Casio Wristcam Watch. It is a little bulky but it allows you to take quick small quality snapshots when you need it. It's fun in a toy/spy kind of way and to take pictures of weird things you see sometimes (lots of Kodak moments). But I also found it useful as a visual databank.
I posted a picture here so that you can see the size and quality. Not very good quality-wise, until you consider that it's taken by a watch and that the watch can store 80 pics (and they pics can be beamed to my Palm handheld.)
I love my TiVo but I'd like to make it clear that if you buy a new TiVo box, you cannot transfer your paid lifetime service to the new unit. But you can sell your current TiVo and the service goes along with it.
On the positive side, if TiVo does not have a local dial-up number (and not all of us live in the usual metropolitan areas), it will use a toll-free number for its nightly call, not costing the owner any money. ReplayTV instead will use a long distance number if a local one is not available.

Dorm Storm?

Napster and all those other peer to peer programs were really eating our bandwidth because of all the computers in the dorms. So now we reduce the available bandwidth for those ports/programs to almost nothing during the day. We then let them do whatever they want to (within certain limits) in the evening hours until a couple hours before the new business days.
Probably not the best solution but it's working out for us.
That still won't be enough for me to move to a non-palm OS device.
They still haven't gotten even close to the size of my Palm V nor its battery life. I do not want to carry a brick around that needs charging everyday.
After running wget, I compiled and installed PHP and MySQL. I then went to/etc/httpd and edited Apache's httpd.conf using pico in a terminal window. All from work using SSH.
I remember that Circuit City developed and demoed this technology (or a similar one) way back then when they were promoting their DIVX format. It is scary and sad to see that this evil idea is still being worked on by other companies.
They have commercial free *MUSIC* - all the other channels (entertainment, news, talk, etc) have commercials.
XM has about 33 commercial-free channels, the rest have an average of 4 minutes of commercials an hour. Not bad.

The article says it will cost $1800 which is kind of pricey for an iMac (even if it has a superdrive and an LCD).
But the article is from Time Canada, so could the price be in Canadian dollars? This would bring the price down to about $1128 US.
Time did the same thing with the Segway. They posted the pictures and article the night before on their website.
The only difference is that I doubt Apple/Jobs will give them any more exclusives from now on.

They are pretty cool looking.
Is it me or is the black armband at the top of the logo new?

I got the fanciest one so it was like $220 I think. There are cheaper models out there. Check out casio.com

Didn't MTV try this when they first launched their site and it flopped?
So what are we going to see? A "Napster - Only on Windows XP" ad on TV?
This is potentially bad for any non-microsoft OS user (be it Linux, Mac, Be, whatever)

good point :)
Those who will use the server services in OS X are probably aware of the OS X built-in firewall.
Apple doesn't provide a pretty GUI for it, but some other guy took the time to write one.
PHP has a following just like Linux, or Java, or Macs have a following.
If you don't wish to read articles about PHP, go to your preferences and disable the PHP-related posts. It's as easy as one, two, click.
Copyleft has some PHP Merchandise. But it'll be nice to have some more options for cool PHP wear.
