Indo-aryan or dravidian, depending on origin. over the last few thousand years, aryan and dravidian culture have formed a wonderful cultural mosaic in india. nothing like it.
If you get equality to teach creationism, I demand the right to teach children about the cyclic nature of the infinite; about brahma, vishnu, and shiva, which represent the aspects of the divine that embody themselves in biological science; creation, mitosis, meiosis, fertilization and propogation; sustenance, respiration, and synthesis; destruction, phagocytosis, apoptosis, and the like.
It's obvious to anyone who shares my belief system that the gods can be seen in everything. That is what I believe. But you can bet your sweet ass that I'm not going to write about Shiva on my biochem final tomorrow.
Like it or not, science is the way society chooses to describe the world. If your faith excludes science, then you have no place in society, except as a parasite; living off other people.
As darwin might say-- evolve or prepare to meet natural selection firsthand.
As a student of the biological and social sciences, I think that people who truly believe in creationism are lucky that there are scientists around who hold their country aloft.
I have a friend whose dad (A lawyer) had been using wordstar for *decades* until his computer finally died. My friend set him up with emacs and wordstar bindings on a shiny new P4, and he's been happily working in it ever since..
The only safe, sane way to store data over extremely long periods of time is to print hard copies. Preferably using a high grade ink on archival, low acid paper. Keep multiple copies in seperate locations, stored in vacuum.
What use are punch cards if no one has a machine to read them? Near any schoolchild can read plain english (or french, arabic, chinese, etc., depending on where you live).
Actually, Mr. Shatner graduated from montreal's prestigious McGill University in 1952. Although enrolled as a Management student, he spent a lot of time in the theatre, being a member of the Red and White Revue, the Player's Drama Club and the Radio Workshop. In a historic 1993 referendum, the students of McGill voted to name their student union building the William Shatner building, and on a 1999 visit to the university, Mr. Shatner was heard to say that all his experience at McGill taught him "the joy of entertaining, the mechanics of production, how to have empathy to fear and how to enjoy and appreciate talent. It's not difficult to be a failure...[The] extraordinary feeling of success is much more rare than failure."
Oddly enough, after graduating with a BCom, his first job was at a summer theatre-- not as an actor, but as a bookkeeper...
KDE does work fine w/32 megs, but Knoppix decompresses it's applications on the fly to ramdrive, and the applications need some space in RAM to be decompressed to-- which means knoppix has a higher ram requirement than plain kde installed to your hard drive.
For the record, Percosets are Opiates, not Benzos. Examples of Opiates include Morphine, Heroin (Diacetylmorphine), Oxycontin (Oxycodone), and Fentanyl. Examples of Benzos include Valium (Diazepam), Xanax (Alprazolam), and Rohypnol (Flunitrazepam.) They are different classes of drugs with decidedly different effects.
And again, the combination of a mild depressant (such as diazepam) and a mild stimulant (Ritalin, Methylphenidate), while dangerous, isn't nearly as dangerous as more common "Speedball" cocktails of Heroin and Cocaine, or Fentanyl patches and Methamphetamine.
By no way is it complete, but it's a great place to start, and an invaluable guide for those who don't know electronica inside-out upside-down and backwards.
First they came for the Communists,
and I didn't speak up,
because I wasn't a Communist. Then they came for the Jews,
and I didn't speak up,
because I wasn't a Jew. Then they came for the Catholics,
and I didn't speak up,
because I was a Protestant. Then they came for me,
and by that time there was no one
left to speak up for me.

Umm.. Gentoo's portage system has you covered there. You can upgrade on the fly and keep your original configurations, then when you have some free time, "emerge clean world" will kill your old versions (While leaving the required files for other apps.) As well, if you're running a farm of identical servers (And if its a farm, why on earth would you have multiple configurations?), you can compile a package on one box, and install using that package on the rest of them. It's a great hybrid of Source and Binary based package management.

Both jed and emacs have wordstar emulation modes.

Looks like taking down the matrix wasn't so hard at all.

Might as well spread the waiting around a little.

Does the iTunes OGG plugin use this API? If they are, wouldn't they be in contravention of the SDK license?
And they're still good.
This much I know. If they released FF3 Advance or Chrono Trigger Advance, I'd be first in line to buy a GBA and the carts.

Thank you for that link! I'm definitely getting one for my apartment!
