If another site pretends to be me or tries to sell products that sound like my product, and have more money than me to spend on servers, and are closer to Google, Google will redirect people to them instead of me. Bad move.
Save the lolis! If people want to be able to have and distribute their own pictures of something, then nothing should stop them. It's only pictures for goodness sakes, it's not like it's the real thing, It might even prevent abuse.
This i almost like comparing the Linux community with just Ubuntu's software centre. Things on Ubuntu are going to work on Ubuntu, other apps might not. This is just going to help compatibility.
A bit obvious. Anyone who knows the contents of the GPL can see right through this. Additionally, "very capable and experienced Microsoft engineers"? Give me a break.
The BT HomeHub mark 1 in the UK uses a sha1 (I think) algorithm for calculating its SSID and key.
You take the hash of the serial number and use the portions like this:
SSIDXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX10DIGITKEY
(though it might be the other way around)
or similar.
SSID is the suffix (e.g. 716F in BTHomeHub-716F)
10DIGITKEY is the WEP key (e.g. 581fdc1977).
This insecurity allows you to look up possible keys for the SSID match in some tables and cut your guessing down to a mere 70 or so guesses for the key.
That is why it's a REALLY good idea to change your SSID and encryption key.
I could do this ages ago with jailbreaking (Backgrounder, Kirikae, etc). But I do wish that in Android it would make backgrounding not default unless I set the program specifically to background.
I jolly well hope so! It's a shame so many users still have WEP/WPA 10-digit hex passwords. To say nothing of default router and predictable passwords.
TKIP and CCMP are both vulnerable to cracking still. People can go in, wait, deauth you, steal your 4-way handshake, and dump the file on a computer or cluster, and have your password quickly.
How about ethernet? No? Well, make sure it's WPA2 Enterprise with a very long password, hidden, etc.
The direction of time is order to chaos (with a few exceptions). The universe is more chaotic than it used to be, but with packets of order.
Fundamentally, it takes a little energy to turn order to chaos but a lot of energy to turn chaos to order. Like breaking an egg, or thermodynamic laws (energy moving from hot objects to cold objects, due to hot objects having more entropy).
I think MS should tell infringing parties which of its patents are being infringed, otherwise its patent claim should be invalidated due to insufficient proof.
I swear that my MSN messenger has messages "from my friends" saying "haha this you? -link to dodgy site-". Of course I've never clicked on one. In fact I talked about security to a "hey wanna see my webcam?" bot once.
Ahh, I read "Warner Bros. Acquires Turbine" and thought "That's nice of them wanting to save the environment"...
s/hackers/crackers/g
Additionally, Brutus is password cracking software... not mentioned in the summary.
Speech or beer? I do hope it's speech...

The force is stro- no wait.
3.2 1 Gone!
Some closed source software explicitly prohibit modificatiion (unknown whether it counts in memory) and reverse-engineering. This is probably illegal.
Funny name "neutrinosaurus". That would be annoying. We can barely see neutrinos.

Or big file sites, or ftp accounts, or bibud (when it's ready).
Now if that's not an excuse to get away from Adobe Reader, what is? This?

To celebrate, I'll be having pie for dinner.

I'm sure your neighbours would LOVE to see LOLcats instead of the pictures they actually wanted.
Of course, a DNS redirect and a harsh notice on your server wouldn't go amiss.
Anyone who tries to infringe them. I put "us" in because I clump myself in with the open source crowd that "MS is trying so hard to sue".
Hey at least Flash is platform independent, and where it isn't, we have Gnash and SWFDec.

Without our dear inertial dampers, we'd take ages to accelerate to that velocity. Or die whilst being squished into our seats.
