A 10.1" netbook isn't practical as a primary computer for anyone without superhuman vision. I've got an 11.6" netbook, but spend all my time on my 23" desktop instead where I can actually fit a decent amount of stuff on the screen at a readable size.
It costs a ton of money for the average American to travel a thousand miles to cross the border of the USA. The average European practically lives on a border.
I don't see any insults, merely an evaluation of historical facts. If "god is a fantasy" is an insult to religious people then "god exists" should be considered an insult to atheists. When someone says "god exists" they're denying my belief that he doesn't, which is mean, so they should be chastised. Nobody is allowed to disagree with anybody about anything -- or if they disagree, they must not elaborate beyond the safe phrase "I disagree."
To bring up the old Nazi defense, how would things have turned out in WW2 if the Nazis had dumped a bunch of money into US lobbying to win support for Germany in the war? Or at least delayed it until they'd occupied Britain and Sweden?
Exactly as it did turn out. Who knows, maybe that's why it happened. The USA only belatedly declared war on Germany because Germany's ally Japan attacked the USA.
Anyhow, money loses to a sensational scandal every time. "Senator X votes for the terrorists!" can spread as a sort of viral campaign without much money and allow challenger Y to easily beat Senator X in the next election.
You can make the law yourself and pass it with direct democracy in a state that has an initiative process (like California, for example). You would find, however, that there's no way to legislate a happy perfect world where everything works right... in fact, well-intended reforms often make things worse.
Better to have corporate/union/foreign-coup-plot-controlled politicians who serve the needs of their competing sponsors, rather than have politicians with no controls who will vote entirely for their own self-interest (i.e. people like the sheikh and his family who run their countries for personal profit).
Correct. Googling "cougar" actually brings up cougarlife.com as the top sponsored result with safesearch off, and also with moderate safesearch. Strict safesearch shows no sponsors.
One could argue that child rapists are more dangerous because they choose to prey on people who have less chance of fighting them off or reporting their crime. A rapist who targets 5 year olds will on average be able to commit more future rapes than a rapist who targets 35 year old men who are masters of 14 martial arts.
In terms of how reprehensible the already committed crime is, though, I'd agree kids shouldn't be more important.
If you take such an extreme view, it makes it easier for opponents to dismiss your group as dangerous extremists and prevent you from getting invited to the table at all.
You're either very lucky or a hardware expert. I've had troubles on all five computers I've installed linux on over the years. My new netbook is a nightmare with the gma 500 graphics driver and sound not even working in ubuntu.
I can't remember the last time I installed software that didn't come from the repositories or a major trusted site (like google). Unless you convince a distribution to include your malware package, I don't see how you can get anyone to install it -- they'll never even see it.
Sure, someone can set up FTP access to let a hacker do whatever they want... but that's not a security issue, it's a user stupidity issue.
You need KDE so you can ditch resource-hungry OpenOffice for the drastically faster KOffice.

When and why did they drop linux ARM? I know they were shipping it a few years ago since it's on my 770.
Not to mention "The Clouds" by Aristophanes. Doubtful that he'd bothered to write a play satirizing the stupidity of Plato's fictional character.
Better to smugly keep your mud hut than lose your third car, eh?

I disagree, it's clearly a space slug. Look closely and you can see the mynocks.
But the smallest body in a planetary orbit is only about 1/3 Earth size.
Aren't a lot of asteroids in planetary orbits?
Nixon was expected to win reelection easily. A 95% chance isn't good enough for a crook who wants to make sure.

Dead people tend to make poor employees.
Yeah, the government should either own everything or nothing. Nothing but communism or anarchy makes sense.

Minesweeper comes with Windows. You don't need anything else.

Running toasters.
Read. The point of solar roads is that they heat themselves so that the EMT gets through faster without a need for chains.
