I'd be willing to be that the best security people already work in the private sector. Government can't even stop their own employees from putting P2P software on their computers.
Unfortunately the foreign military the government thought was landing on some rancher's land actually turned out to be a package delivered by the USPS from his relative who lives overseas. All the same, they decide that the best course of action is to keep the rancher's land and throw him in prison indefinitely and without trial, because there's a possibility that the rancher is actually part of a terrorist organization being supplied by his foreign relative. About a year later, a Wal-Mart springs up on this rancher's land.
If they sue enough people, they'll eventually sue someone who's not right in the head, and this person will take care of the problem permanently. We can hope anyway.
I don't expect it will be long until that is tested in court. If selling more than $20K worth of personal property makes me a business, then I'm damn well going to call the original purchase of the product a business expense and write it off accordingly.
When I was in the army in the early 90s we just did good old fashioned exercise. What the fuck is wrong with making them run until they're no longer lardasses?
I bought several Xboxes a couple years ago for $50 each. They're probably cheaper now. They don't have the power for HD material, but I don't do Bluray yet so most of my stuff is still DVD quality anyway. It looks quite good scaled up on the Xbox using XBMC, so for right now I'm quite happy to keep using them. It's unfortunate that development has stopped, but I can understand why, and I'll keep using the old builds until the Xboxes die, or I really decide I want to watch HD rips.
A general rule of thumb is that if there is a bad idea that gives the government more control, it will probably end up being implemented. It wouldn't surprise me at all to see this being done. Probably in California, New York and Chicago first. For our own good, of course.
I had to read a couple times myself, but he's saying that "Scamming others in game is perfectly legitimate, and that in one instance there was an in game Ponzi scheme that stole so much in game money from other players, that the value of the in game money in real world currency (if one was to purchase in game currency in real world money, see: gold farmers) was tens of thousands of dollars."
I don't know about you, but that kind of loss of history and culture gives me an awful sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach. The original artists would probably feel the same way if they knew that the things they created vanished forever because some asshole in a 50th story office didn't want anybody to hear or see something they didn't pay for.
People who prattle on about how using curse words is low class are amusing. Methinks they doth protest too much. Probably poor self esteem that they're trying desperately to overcome.
It's OK Michael, don't feel bad. Not everyone can be a winner in the game of life. You can always switch to Hinduism and hope for reincarnation. Better luck next time, sport.
And the only reason curse words get laughter is because it gets twists the puritanical assholes' panties into knots. Why is the word 'fuck' a curse word? Because of it's shock value. Why does it have shock value? Because it's a curse word. Maybe if people would lighten the fuck up it would just be another word.
That's what I'm waiting for. The first company to make a decent ChromeOS tablet for $250-300 gets my money. I'd probably buy a couple just to have around the house for me or my guests to use.
I thought that's what Democrats wanted?
You're a sick person.

I think a cyberattack is when federal employees install P2P software on their work computers.
Southern Tier makes some of the greatest stuff out there. I agree, the Creme Brulee is one of the best beers ever.

Great, they can tax me on the profit. I bought the TV for $1000 and sold it for $400. I'll happily report a $600 loss against my salary.

$400M CAD... isn't that all of them?

You mean the artist that died in 1952? Yeah, I'm sure he'd be crushed about not earning money in 2010.
Complete and absolute failure to understand the point.

Not yet, but they're trying.

The previous owner now no longer has that copy. Are you daft?
You ask why the right to consume should exist. I ask why should the right to own ideas exist?
Good job proving that everyone has a different idea free and convenient.
