Ok, I am going to need you to go ahead and power cycle that modem for me. Oh, you don't know what that means, well unplug it, count to 30 in your head. Sir, in your head, not out loud. Ok, now plug it back in and call me back if you have any further issues. Thank you for calling
Technically, WikiLeaks did nothing wrong (according to what you can find publically). Now that they are assisting him, as another person stated, it shows that they are working together. That is very bad for WikiLeaks. Unfortunately, Manning did commit a crime whether we like it or not. Whether it was for the good or not, it is still a crime. WikiLeaks needs to slow their roll before they get themselves in some trouble (and rest assured, there are lawyers waiting for WikiLeaks to slip up on something). WikiLeaks is a pretty cool place to get some information, but if they keep slipping by donating to people like Manning, they may be giving places reasons to take them down, which sucks.
Well FB also has the "hacker" cup, which is more of just a programming tournament where you provide all of your information from person phone number down to your home address. I mean, for a "hacker" cup, giving FB all of your personal information has got to give you another legitimate use of the site
Well how in the hell am I going to win now? Making up Jargon to my gym teacher made it easy for him to give me an awesome score, but now I would just look stupid (I am also older than 18, but if I were 18 again)
You are saying this like there is some government office out there that does not have landlines and everybody 100% relies on cell phones. Come on now, even you know better than that. They are basically taking cell phones from employees that do not specifically need them for their job. Also, why is everybody associating this with just IT (well, it is/. but even still). What about the entry level accountants? Should they have government paid cell phones? Listen, if you want to pay another person's cell phone bill through your taxes when that person does not need the cell phone at all, you go right ahead. For me, and I have lived in Cali for multiple years, I would rather my tax money going to something other than paying for some person's cell phone bill.
Uh, yeah, didn't the iPad come out last year? I would be pissed if I hopped on the bandwagon of iPad owners, to just have Apple release another one a year later
I would not say it is just for marketing and sales. This would be awesome to put into my media box so that I don't need a PC next to my projector. Now I can put my media box in the other room next to my main computer and get a small monitor to use as a "base station" just in case. I have not read much about the card, but I am 95% sure that there will be at least 1 wired port. I was actually looking at wireless monitor stuff previously, and that stuff is expensive. I am hoping this will help drive those prices down
I loved Imeem and then MySpace bought them out. So, maybe somebody else who can afford Imeem should buy them up and allow them to go back to their business they had and possibly make amazing music plug-ins for their walled garden *cough*Facebook*couch*
I am never going to that colony. I have seen too many sci-fi movies to want to mess around with that. Deep Space exploration on the other hand, I would volunteer for
Whatever moneybags. I am a mid-level programmer, I bought a base model. I have gas, brakes, steering wheel, cd player, power windows, uh, my seats can move, Oh, I got a spare tire. Yeah, all that stuff you mentioned is all fine and dandy, but how many people can afford a car like that? I make decent money and I can't afford all that crap
I am more curious to see the relationship of M$ and FB after this. M$ has money invested into FB, so it obviously knows about what FB is and has had ample time to sue them (the patent was filed in 2009, and it is 2011 now), but chose not to. Obviously the wait was to get more money, but why doesn't M$ just be a douche and threaten to pull out from FB and stop investing? Unless M$ is suing for the 450mil they put into FB, then it is going to hurt FB much less hitting them with a lawsuit. FB/Zuck are too big of money whores to push M$ away, so there is no need to think about that.
This is very true. You may try your comebacks to this, but this is also a big reason why many people have WoW accounts. I tried the game and thought it was meh, but it doesn't matter what I think when there are over 10 million active accounts on it (they might be up to 12 million now, but I digress).
Anybody that thinks FB will be the definitive are the same people stuck in EverQuest. Sure, EverQuest was a good game for its time with a good amount of users, but something newer and better came alone, which was WoW. The new Star Wars MMO by BioWare is on a fast track to stop WoW in its tracks very quickly. I have a WoW account and have met hundreds of orthers in WoW (through message boards, raids, etc) and most of them are like me and are planning on switching to the new Star Wars MMO when it comes out. It is newer and better.
FB will not be around and be the big dog forever. I promise you, all it will take to beat out a social website is a single guy with a cool idea (and not a team of developers at BioWare). Zuck made the code for FB in his dorm room by himself and then it expanded. With that notion, how many other college kids right now are biting at the teet to match that?
I promise you FB will go the way of MySpace once another college kid gets a great idea that makes that kid's idea more scalable, easier to use, more convenient, has flash support for crappy games and stuff, etc.
The same arguments people made about why FB will be the biggest and a good business model for years to come, I could easily use with a business that went the way of the dodo. Remember, since the internet is free, there are new sites popping up daily, and it only a matter of time before somebody does it faster, harder, with more passion, and way better. I promise you it will happen. Life is more than FB and WoW kids, you just need to realize it.

Not in the R's. That is not what your mother said last night Trebek.
...just the way your mother likes it Trebek.
Then you better drink it fast

Yeah, that may be tough. The online streaming videos through a PC use Silverlight, which is a MicroSoft Technology
Apparently the half baby thing was only funny to me.
Being hired for a job you don't go to is completely different than "bought off". Completely different. Really.
Not really. You get bought off and then become "sell outs" and work for them. It is 2 things wrapped into 1. Bought off, and sold out.

Maybe they will get lucky and push that number up to 525.5 or 526

Does your employer pay for your clothing?
When I worked at a Mexican place as a cook, yes they did

You can with a ninja sword

Kinda like Nick Cage in 8mm. Yeah Nick Cage
Isn't this how the movie Aliens started?
I am never going to that colony. I have seen too many sci-fi movies to want to mess around with that. Deep Space exploration on the other hand, I would volunteer for
Well, Tony Montana calls people dirty cockroaches (but he does pronounce it cock-a-roach), so I think there are many cockroaches that are human.
Lol, nice
