I'm not sure why that data cuts off at ">20 kilotons", which seems to hide the fact that Chelyabinsk was measured to be 400-500 kilotons. >20 seems to be a bit of an understatement here.

Exactly, I believe Oculus's crystal cove prototype from this year's CES used a combination of accelerometers and the tracking camera to keep the accelerometers synchronized with their true position. In the final version they said the camera probably won't even be necessary anymore, but just this prototype version still requires it.
You mention that you aren't a programmer, and it's obvious by the questions you ask. There's a reason why all of the attempts to create non-text based programming languages have failed and people revert back to text code. Because text code simply works best. If some day we can plug a computer into our brain to convert our thoughts into computer code, then I'd prefer to write code that way. But until then, the best way for us to get our thoughts and ideas into code is to write it out.
Since they are including Youtube as part of this traffic, I can see why it would be such a high percentage. Nearly every other Google service is pretty low bandwidth, but many people, including myself, now use Youtube as a replacement for TV. So I'm not suprised by this statistic at all.
As a user of Xbox for the last 12 years, I can't back up Microsoft on this one. They really blew it. I might have to pick up a Sony product for the first time ever.

In my opinion yes. All the DRM and server issues aside, I really enjoy playing the game itself. The servers are much much more stable now than on launch day, and I have no problems connecting anymore. If you look past the terrible DRM there is actually some fun gameplay to be found, which is sad because it will always be overshadowed by this scandal.
I think if someone comes out with a private server for this game it will make it one of the best Simcity games I've played.

As far as I can tell the only thing the server manages is storing your save data, hosting multiple city interactions, and adjusting the "global market" prices for oil and such. If the server did all the game logic calculations then I wouldn't have been able to play for 10 minutes straight after disconnecting. They are doing a very minimal amount of number crunching, and I suspect that's why they felt overconfident in their system and didn't think they would need that many servers.
Yes I have a friend who was convinced the Wii U was a tablet upgrade for the existing Wii, he didn't even realize it was a new console. Their problem is not marketing the CONSOLE itself, instead they focused way too much on the gimmicky tablet controller. People aren't even aware that the Wii U is running on much better hardware and the games can actually run higher than 480p now.
Exactly, I'd consider buying a Wii U if it had anything worth playing... Currently the only games they have are disappointing first party games, and third party ports from Xbox 360 and PS3 that the Wii didn't have the horsepower to run, and now Nintendo is finally getting these games years later.
The upcoming new Zelda game that was vaguely announced is the only thing on the horizon that I could see saving the Wii U. They seem to be putting all their chips into the 3DS right now and are very tight lipped about what games they are making for Wii U, if any.
I got the impression that they were implying you could build it with your choice of printed parts OR alternatively purchased parts. I would imagine the printed parts would be plastic and less durable (but probably lighter) than metal parts bought at a hardware store.
Who is forcing non heterosexuals into one area? Nobody. This article is EXTREMELY biased and is completely misrepresenting the truth. Nobody is being forced anywhere, they are simply developing same-sex dialog stories into the new planet that they are releasing. They didnt have same sex storylines on previous planets, but from this point on they are adding it to all new planets, starting with this first one.
Why is this so hard for people to understand?

But they don't "automatically" open up on your other PCs. They simply show up in a list of tabs opened on your other devices that are synced to your same google account. Then you can manually open the "remote tab" on the device you are currently on. They will not simply start popping up on your work PC while you are opening tabs at home.
And if you are really that worried about even having the smallest amount of access between the tabs of your different devices, then I guess this feature isn't for you.
Anyone else totally confused by this article, first they say, iOS 5 was released yesterday, then a few paragraphs down they say iOS 5 is only available in beta to developers right now. Nice job getting the facts straight. Made me go try to update my phone only to discover its not actually released.
I seem to remember back in school my English teachers would grade as if they were a computer, failing to actually read into the meaning of things and simply complain about obscure grammar errors (which no one in the real world even knows about) and simple typos.
