example, turn off those pumps... they are pumping water all day in a cycle, it is going no where, just turn then off! everything is always breaking or cracking, just delay repair one month and you will see that you will save one months of repairs... do this all 10 months and you will save 10 months! pure profit!! all that space and tech to store radioactive waste... just dump it to the near river, let nature (and the bible) deal with it

If they reported that they would drop the "connected devices" firefoxOS, the team would be lay off or relocated to other projects... probably downsize is the best options for the team technical skills (probably more embedded/HW related)

Probably then install openwrt on it, setup some iptables and dns filtering like pi-hole and configure some cron scripts and you replace 90% of the features.
or buy directly one new router and install openwrt directly:)
IMHO, flywheels, water pump and electrolysis of water are the future for large amount of energy storage. All are simple to implement, cheap, reusable and can scale. Of course, not all places can use all of then, but all can use at least one of then.
In Portugal, the excess energy from solar (during day) or wind (usually during night) is used to pump water upstream back to hydroelectric dams reservoirs, back to potential energy, to be used later, when there is no enough wind or solar energy. Of course, like any solution, it have its limits and all countries know that they have to have several energy sources in parallel, so when one is weak, the remaining ones should fill the gap... Even coal, if for some reason the a boiler stop working, you have to fetch energy from other places

when i entered the company, i didn't had any email, but my contacts list had a shared contact list with ALL company emails
