Well, the only yahoo mail, I have I use for my Flylady emails. The hacker will learn how to enjoy the holidays while getting all the holiday chores done without any stress or inconvenience to our families.:) Enjoy your hacker you!
From the article:... is being developed as one of the first apps for the soon-to-be-released Apple Watch.
who wants to get recipes from a watch? I like looking at the whole recipe not a word at a time....Add 3 {next page} free {next page} range {next page} eggs
If you could opt in for suidcide watch, I would think this would be useful. But this to me screams, it is okay to psychoanalyze all posts. The first person they "save" especially if it is a bullied teenager, they will look like a hero and have such great publicity. Most people won't mind the all the data mining. You know you have to "think of the children."
They should give free meals or drinks to the passengers that can do the briefings along with the aircraft attendants. It would at least make it more interesting.
Fruit flies that do calculus?
Next time I see one I will give it a practice AP test.
I wonder if it considered cheating if a fruit fly is in the room during a calculus exam.
I have seen enough on the internet to know that everything I do is monitored and has for quite some time. I know if don't want to be watched, I know not to do it over the internet, I am kind of over it.
So...
I think this is great. They are taking data and using it to make books more enjoyable. Maybe they will do a better job hiding whodunit at the end of a mystery. Non-fiction books such as Yoga books are too wordy. I really just want to see how to do the Tree position. Not how Tree position changed the authors life.
I guess somethings could be dumbed down. I read reviews before buying a book. I don't buy those books anyways.
Enjoying the 21st century...
I have been using technology in food preparation for awhile. Those websites listed are very good for very basic recipes like I have a very very good bread recipe off of Allrecipes.com. But I really like cookbooks written by great authors. I have found these authors lately by their blogs. Free recipes are just that, free. Sometimes I will look at a video on youtube if I am unsure how to follow off of a book. Such as rolling sushi or poaching an egg much easier to watch on youtube than try to read it. Also I like watching Julia Child cooking shows on Amazon Prime Instant Video. By preparing a recipe over and over, I will learn how to substitute or for example to make a crepe with ease which then lends to creativity because I am comfortable with the overall process. Also sometimes I will peruse restaurant websites to get ideas on new combinations that I could incorporate into my own cooking. Technology can enhance creativity or take from it. It is entirely up to the user.
Just because you are searching on odd things does not make you want to commit them, maybe you are researching for a book. You would want the book to be realistic as possible.
Maybe someone is acting supicious and you think you might be slowly poisoned or something like that. You would definately want to look up why and how someone is doing this.
There are many reasons to search information on the web and it is not always to harm/hurt or even idle curiosity.
On our PS3 on their browser my children went on the internet and learned how to dance the minuet. My children are music students that have been able to play minuet on various instruments for years but recently they learned how to dance the minuet. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=doJ9bphxxKU Of course you can have constructive activities on smartphones and gaming consoles.
From the chart it looks like they don't take into account there is this crazy thing called a "Backyard Garden" Granted you have to buy seeds but some vegetables will come up year after year without buying new seeds. Also how can they track how much produce the garden will produce depends on weather and how well you tend to the garden.
Last time I was at the air and space museum in Washington DC I saw a Cray Supercompter http://www.nasm.si.edu/collections/artifact.cfm?id=A19880565000
I was extremely excited and tried to show my kids who only saw a very weird big computer thing. A new supercomputer built by Cray sounds like a great idea:)
I would argue that you would fall farther behind your peers without access to transportation, a phone, or even a clean pair of clothes than you would without the internet.
Thanks man for reminding me...I need to do some laundry tonight before I start playing Wow:)
I was looking at the 3DS and was very surprised how it is smaller than a DSiXL. 3DS is the size of a DSi regular. The only new feature is that it has 3D without a glasses which in my mind means that it is blurry and you need to look at it carefully from one direction, maybe this is not the case but it is smaller than the current lastest greatest. I thought new models are supposed to be getting better not worst.
Probably not going to run right out and get one of these.
I wish I sounded like James Earl Jones...of course I would swap "Luke I am your father." with "hi", "hello", "good-bye", "how are you doing?" and of course "I don't know" in everyday conversation.
It has been very hard in the past for members of the deceased to close down their social networking accounts, or even post a message with the funeral information. This law should give them the ability to manage the accounts accordingly.
Yes but..maybe Facebook should be more proactive and make some kind of a living will setting or something...I agree it would be super creepy but better than trying to deal with legislator with each state/province/country.
Maybe it's just a generation thing. Younger players might not be as patient or as skilled?
My 11 yo beat Wii's Zelda : Twilight Princess at least 3 times. She is now has a 62 Balance/Resto druid in WoW and is REALLY into Civilization. Meh..depends on the kid.

That takes helicopter parenting to a whole new level...

But could we teach them to Bitcoin mine?

Some Creepy old guy walks up to a group of kids.
Creepy old guy looks at kid using his iPhone
Creepy old guy: Can you play xbox with your iPhone?
Kid with iPhone: No
Creepy old guy looks at kid using his Android.
Creepy old guy: Can you play xbox with your Android?
Kid with Android: I don't think so.
Headline: Young People soured on the iPhone and find the Android baffling.

Um...Linux has great educational software. (Better than leapfrog)
I would think Tuxpaint (one of my kids all time favorite games) would be amazing on a tablet.
zomg, what a cool job!
