Battle.net is far less reliable than LAN play. Internet connections are far more likely to drop than LAN play which really never drops unless you have a hardware issue. As well, Bnet frequently has delays and drops players in Warcraft III so I don't foresee Starcraft II being any different. As well with Bnet, some players have delays due to slower internet connection.

I'm sure you could run SC2 on Linux even if it says only for Windows. It said that with Warcraft III and I have seen it run on both a Mac's Leopard OS and on Linux. Just my two cents, I would borrow from someone to check if it runs on Linux before you spend the money to buy it. But considering Warcraft III can do it when it says just for Windows I wouldn't be surprised if Starcraft 2 could do it as well.

I'm not anything, but I believe the Republican tag is because all of the secretiveness was implemented by the Bush Administration which was indeed Republican. Such things like entering the Iraq War and the Patriot Act had much larger support from the Republican Party.

I doubt we are going to see any big move towards Windows 7 until people see that is is worth the price tag. A flaw that could have seriously fubared the net if he didn't go through massive patching with internet providers and large companies. So you know, just about all DNSSEC software is opensource, meaning it is free. He isn't a conartist and it is pretty ignorant to call him one, he spent countless hours last summer trying to get the patch out which he didn't make money off of since he released it for free.

I think a lot of people knew the elections were rigged from the get go, but few wanted to come out and say it.
