Exactly. We all probably know people who have been through similar things. I know a guy who was 24 and got with a girl who was 17 but dressed, looked, and acted like she was older. You know where that's going.

Another thing that happened at a cop bar in my neighborhood is that the bar is connected with a pizza shop. An underage girl walked into the pizza shop and slipped into the bar. She hooked up with a guy and they had sex in the back of his car. Her parents found out and WHAMMO, pedophile label for life.

I don't know a single person that uses Netflix so that's rather difficult. I also haven't heard it *anywhere* other than on Slashdot. I wouldn't even know it existed otherwise.

I know exactly one person who uses netflix and he loves it. He was using it 5 years ago.

Cutting back hours? I don't know about that. I know of a couple Blockbusters around here and they are open the same hours they have been for years. At least you know that the movie rental places are open on Thanksgiving and Christmas.

I don't think that's what he meant. I think he means that individual employee hours are being cut back. Reduce the number of concurrent employee hours during the work week. I can't confirm that this is the case, because I haven't entered a blockbuster in about two years, but the intent of his statement is clear.

I'm just a movie watcher that doesn't like to pay a whole hell of a lot to watch a movie once.

This is the key. Circuit City misunderstood the collective mindset of movie consumers. People WILL pay to have a movie at their disposal. They will not pay to increase the bottom line of any company (except Apple, but that's another discussion).

4th Amendment: right to be secure against unreasonable searches and seizures

9th Amendment: lack of enumeration of a right does not preclude that right from existing

Amendment 1. Freedom to gather and petition the government for redress of grievances can't be done privately.

Amendment 3. Has nothing to do with privacy, it's about property.

Amendment 4. The argument can be made that this is about privacy, but the right is not designated as such.

Amendment 5. Once again, privacy is not a concern in this case. Freedom of speech must also include freedom not to speak.

Amendment 9. This is the heart of the matter. It is here that the "right to privacy" is concocted.

The court has not found a fundamental right to privacy as to one's actions on the Internet. Only fundamental rights are protected through the 14th Amendment.

A little Googling reveals that there are a lot of outfits out there doing inexpensive domain registrations.

Even Yahoo is in on the cheap domain registration game. Granted, yahoo has a lot of other sources of revenue, but I believe that godaddy has relationships with hosting companies that I'm sure adds money to their bottom line.

So, lets say that they are getting $0.50 per month for every referral that they make to a web hosting company. Let's just say that 20% of their registrations are of people who need a hosting service. We're talking about over 4 million dollars per year.

To be fair, I arbitrarily picked those numbers, but I don't think that they're an unreasonable estimate.
