Not really. You're making the assumption that all courses are based on a single subject, and that's just not true. The vast majority of university courses tend to be multi-disciplined. It's highly unlikely that a single student is a master of all of those fields, and all students will have a 'weak' subject. The temptation is always there for a given student, whether they are good or bad, to get through their weak subject anyway they can. It does not mean however they are unable to excel in other areas.
Anecdotally, I once caught an entire university year who'd handed in identical programming projects. To this day I'm not entirely sure why they thought that would be a good idea, or how they thought I wouldn't notice. Obviously I made them all resubmit, however the vast majority have gone off to have very successful careers. So no, it doesn't follow that a student who cheats is a bad learner, and it's also entirely incorrect to say they can't have good careers. After all, once you start out on a career, consulting google becomes a mandated way of working;)
There is no first world. There is no second world. There is no third world. Stop using the terms for they are archaic cold war terms that have no longer have any relevant meaning.
The correct terms are "developed countries" and "developing countries". FWIW, a 'second world country' is a 'communist country'.
Well, porting software between platforms tends to have a negative impact on quality (not always, but they tend to be the exception rather than the rule!). So it doesn't really have to be a game to suffer porting problems - there are just as many applications out there that exhibit platform specific 'features'.
There is the other minor point that if your only complaint is the control system (as opposed to major crashes, graphics and sound glitches etc), then the dev team have probably done a fairly good job on the port. If that's the case, then you really might as well suck it up, and go out and buy a gamepad. You can even plug in a 360 gamepad for that 'proper console' feeling if you want! (and you can be 100% sure that's what the developers were using when testing the port!)
They haven't managed to kill off Time Warner yet, and to be honest netscape had been killed off by microsoft long before AOL got involved. AOL seems to be little more than a hedge fund these days.....
My issue with the political / bureaucratic side of evolutionary theory is that even its most ardent proponents are too ill-equipped to engage in rational debate that they have to effectively bully their way into the education system.
Ok, I'll give you an opportunity to get around that then. I'm in Oxford in the UK. If you wish to present YEC ideas in a biology class at a school over here (free from US bureaucracy and politics) then you are more than welcome to do so. Over here science classes are really very simple. If it's been proved and independently verified (typically Oxford and/or Cambridge universities fill this role), then you may teach it. If it has been disproved, or has not been verified, then it is not allowed within the classroom. So for example, you cannot say "The earth is 6500 years old" because that has been proved to be false. You could however say "Whilst completely untrue, some people used to believe (and some still do!) that the Earth is 6500 years old". If your YEC ideas truly have scientific validity, then I invite you to have them independently verified by Oxford university, and then you may present the ideas in a science lesson (but only those theories that the university allows obviously! We don't want you breaking the law!). You can take a double class if you wish (70mins). Sound fair?
(p.s. I've offered 3 people this opportunity so far. No one has ever taken me up on the offer for some reason.... )
Outrage 8: I was outraged at Outrage 2 (and some other stuff!)? Is this guy serious? The whole article just seems to be some incoherent and ill-constructed rant. As a Non-US citizen, is there some deep and meaningful message in the drivel that I'm not understanding?
If you do ever get to 3rd base with a lady, do try to remember that whilst she may be very open minded, she probably won't be open minded enough for you to bring choir boys into the bedroom to rape. Girls don't really dig that kind of thing......
Unfortunately not. I requested an engineering sample from AMD about 2 years ago, and am still waiting......
It shits all over Intel+ION.
Whether it shits over ION or not entirely misses the point. I'm sure Fusion *could* shit all over ION, but the problem can be summed up with a quick glance here. Where are these fabled Fusion netbooks? It's ATOMS, ATOMS, ATOMS and nothing but ATOMS in that market sector.....
So returning to your original question:
Who has one of the lowest power draw/highest performance CPU/GPU combo for mobile systems that would shit all over tons of current in-service desktop systems, with an even better revision coming soon?
The ATOM/ION has been available for over 18 months. It has one of the lowest power/highest performance CPU/GPU combo for mobile systems, with a new revision coming. It's adequate enough to replace tons of in-service desktops NOW. The ATOM/ION combo is a very valid answer to your question...... Fusion may become a valid answer in a few months time, but it isn't an answer *yet*.....
Ahead in manufacturing tech, maybe. Architecture? Who made x64?
That's a bit like saying ford is the worlds greatest motor company because of the Model T, and then neglecting to notice the failures of it's recent business practices. x64 was something AMD did right 8 years ago. In the last 8 years however, things haven't gone as well for the business....
Who has one of the lowest power draw/highest performance CPU/GPU combo for mobile systems that would shit all over tons of current in-service desktop systems, with an even better revision coming soon?
You've attempted cooking a non-traditional form of meat at home (more than once). Tragically, that means your cooking skills are probably within the top 5% of the population:(
If you noticed, most of the graphics from stargazing live were lifted directly from "Wonders of the Solar System". I'd prefer the beeb to do 3 hours of live stargazing than say, 3 hours of "breakfast", 3 hours of football, 3 hours of "cash in the attic",..... (and it's nice to know that "Wonders of the universe" will be on the TV before too long.....)
Photoshop is targeted quite squarely at the professional, and therefore it really isn't an 'apt' example as you say. I imagine there are many of people out there who use a pirated version at home. I also imagine adobe doesn't lose too much sleep over them. If photoshop was uncrackable, how many of those users would buy a legit license? None of them! They'd all resort to buying adobe elements, using the software bundled with their digital cameras, or resort to free alternatives such as paint.NET or gimp.
Photoshop with it's £550 price tag is a professional product, aimed at the professional user - a user whom it's assumed will be audited at the end of the year, and therefore can't avoid paying for the product. The app-store will do nothing to change that, and certainly will not harm photoshop sales in the slightest....
Evidence doesn't back your claims sir. I went to school with Saajid Badat, who was one of the shoe-bombers, and the first person in the UK tried under the post 9/11 anti-terror laws. He never got on the plane bound for the US, having decided it was actually a retarded idea, but he still got 13 years because....
a) Had a shoe bomb in his house
b) Had booked the flight to the US (which he was intending to blow up)
c) Had taken a flight (with the bomb) to paris before turning back.
Having known the guy personally many years ago, I can assure you this is probably the closest thing I've seen to a thought crime in the UK. The guy was always a bullshitting, mouthy, tool. One of those people who'd say anything to be 'in' with the crowd, but you always knew the words coming out of his mouth were utter bullshit. He'd never back anything up with actions though. All mouth, no trousers as they say....

Yeah, from the title I'd assumed it meant they were browsing google on an iPhone during exams.....
Strange. My decoder comes out with some garbled message about sharks, blu-ray lasers, and duct tape?
^Stop using the terms for they are archaic cold war terms that no longer have a relevant meaning.^
Brain not engaged....

hint: Those games that are better with mouse and keyboard did not originate on console.

No, i believe the correct translation is:
"Roman sharks, with frickin' laser beams attached to their latin heads".
But then again, I don't read latin much anymore, so I may have made the odd grammatical error...
Sex != Rape and Paedophilia
If you do ever get to 3rd base with a lady, do try to remember that whilst she may be very open minded, she probably won't be open minded enough for you to bring choir boys into the bedroom to rape. Girls don't really dig that kind of thing......
Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS). It's very common, although the vast majority of ladies don't like talking about it.....
daily mail says no.....
Nah, they could be selling drugs.... :p
Cancer obviously.... haven't you read the article? :p

Yeah, Micro live and Database
I pity your comments moderation :(
:(
You've just expressed the sentiments of everyone who watched the program, and have been harshly moderated down as a result
Visual C++ has been able to compile for arm for some time..... Just create a new solution platform from the configuration manager.
