I think the court should be the entity billing for the procedure, then in turn bill the party responsible. This should remove any potential threats resulting from Company X pissing off Sony with a result they don't care for.
Aye, as we do not in Canada...however, no doubt that there are a lot of American's that are looking forward to this technology.
Actually, I am in favour of the death penalty, however, only under a strict set of circumstances:
1. The subject is found guilty by a jury (of peers). 2. The subject is sentenced to death by said jury (of peers). 3. The subject is deemed fit for said punishment and possesses no mental defect of appreciable concern in regards to the proceedings and determination.
and the most important of all,
4. The subject agrees with, and agrees to comply with the sentence. In most likelihood, a psychologist whould be required to determine that this is the true wishes of the subject.
I once asked a proponent of the death penalty how much his wife should get if her husband was put to death accidentally by the state. He could not give me a figure, no matter how much I needled him.
Yahoo accuses Google of using 'liberal' and/or 'left friendly' heuristics, and therefore is biased. Google, defending it's algorithms, state Yahoo consultants are a bunch of Yahoos funded by a bunch of rich, well placed Yahoos.
A couple of years ago, I was trying to import/export Corel files and it was driving me nuts, and I tried several programs. Best results I got was from Canvas from Deneba. Haven't used it recently, but it boasts over 80 import filters.
Interesting point. More so when you combine your two points. An email (or any other Internet communication), can, in it's route to the destination, cross state, national, and/or international boundries. I wonder what a court of law would rule if an email was intercepted from a Canadian ISP, en route from Seattle to Boston? Would that information be allowed to be introduced? If so, how hard would it be for an agency to 'doctor' information so that it would be admissable?
Just move to Canada. It's a stop-gap solution, since we seem to be moving in the same direction, but you'll have about 10 years to decide which European country to move to in the end.
It was a joke...apparently, not a very successful one :)
:(
19 is the minimum age that one can start drinking in the area where I grew up, and may one day end up with jaundice.
I should have state "reached age of majority"
I am guilty of local bias.
My skin is turning yellow.....
Odd thing is that I stopped playing Nintendo around the time I turned 19.
Yay! The Democrats are in power!
Anti-Dupe System.
I was going to correct your spelling of that adjective, but then realized it is mostly correct.... ....and I didn't want to get sued by Sir Paul
Or....

ReVisit8
not perfect, but let the linux marketing fanboys play a bit and I guarantee there's a meme in there

Forgot the 'V'
"until the first round of patching begins."
AKA Vista 2008
I still think the judgement is slightly flawed.

Don't Boycott....Bittorrent
That drives them up the wall.
It's all faked anyways. They aren't on Mars. It's all STAGED people...... ...that's the moon, colourized.
That's one hack that would be inevitable.
1. Move the fridge next to the computer.
2. Stock frige with ample liquidy goodness.
3. Play WoW drunk for days.
Three addictions, no waiting! What problem?
Advanced hint: Keep a couple of empty bottles around for the inevitable!

The ghosts of the many executed prisoners who are soon-to-be-exonerated applaud......sort of.
That's odd.....I think this is one of those rare submissions that would be a lot funnier if it WAS duped.
I bet David Banh is getting a woody right now.
Now, I wonder if I can get my Robosapien to assemble it?

Thank you for admitting that you were wrong. Takes courage to do that.

We live in interesting times for sure.

I think I just heard RMS' head explode.
I know it's wrong, and misguided, but I can't help thinking that Google should tweak their page a bit in light of this.....ie:
"Your search - Miro - did not match any documents."
I would expect the whining would rise quite a bit.
