    Facebook will do this. I've been waiting for them to do it, it only seems natural, they have a ton of data available to them for face recognition when users tag photos of their friends. Soon you can just upload your photos and they will automatically identify your friends in them

    This bug https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/188226 causes synergy to sputter along unless its started under sudo or you recompiled your kernel with a different scheduler enabled.

    I second rtorrent. I was pulling my hair out with the gnome bittorrent client using up a couple hundred megs of ram while downloading torrents and when I only had less than a GB of ram it was painful.

    Um you can just as easily reverse engineer a mysql or postgresql database through sql injection attacks also. What's your point?

    My advice, find a mentor and network like hell. Use your free time now to develop your skills and hone in on your interests. Try finding local tech companies around you and let them know that you have great interest in learning and are interested in seeing if they have any internships available. Once you get your foot in the door, meet people and stay in touch with them. It will come in handy once you graduate from college. I know it did with me.

    Or how bout the RIAA provides an MD5 or SHA1 hash of the file in question believed to be downloaded by the defendant. The run a scan on the files and look for a matching hash. Of course if they guy made the slightest of changes to the id3 tag it would come back with no files found.

    I have a 6800GT and nothing is snappy while runnning at this resolution with my dell 2005fpw. Maybe I can hope since it's just in alpha stages that it will get better with time.

    They force these companies to release the game much earlier then it should be. Their QA blows. They released a patch that caused even more problems and then told everyone to REINSTALL the game because of their patch. There is so many bugs in the game its redic.
