Software apps are changed to increase production. People that get screwed by the small changes get screwed because they didnt understand it in the first place.
If all you know how to do is 2+2+2+2 and now the program does multiplication 2*4 instead, thats how screwed users are when they sit down at windows xp from windows 95 norm.
I think that the only changes that piss people off are the ones that are visible through use. Autocorrect in Word is a godsend, changing teh to the is great, but clippy popping up and telling me that Im writing a letter and eating my keystrokes is a pain in the ass.

A 15 inch flat panel is basicly a 17 inch crt. A 15 inch flat panel has 15 inches viewable and a 17 inch crt has 15.1 viewable.
For office work no CRT beats my 15 inch flat panel. For gaming, my response time per pixel is around 40-50ms so I only get 22-35fps, its still very good for games.
And you can get a 18 inch flatpanel for 499 at costco. Thats a sane price to me.
I remember like 4 years ago I went to a local tech show and a company had credit card size 486 computers that had a small plug in the side that was an extension to plug in devices, was quite cool. So having a video game as a card shouldnt be that hard.

A lot of firms do this in india, H1B lets you move employees from a foreign company that you own into the united states for the wages they earn in their home country.
So basicly you can get a consultant working for 10,000 a year + living expenses and then bill him out as a professional to another company for 1/2 of what they pay their guys. They pinkslip all their guys and hand off all their work to the h1b holders, cutting costs.
The h1b people accept the indentured servant status because they will eventually be able to get citizenship, not a bad deal.
Personally its kind of cool to do things that I'll never be able to do in real life. That said, get this video and it depicts the most real death animations ive ever seen. The best part is the game play is good too.
