They do have Amazon Prime Services - where an "Amazon Turk Rabbit" (Amazon's take on Task Rabbit) comes to your house for a fixed fee to install or fix small things in your house. They may even in the future have the infrastructure to open up their warehouse to consumers and take on Sam's Club or Costco.
It's actually the Apple idiots (consumers) that are probably complaining about the 'master' and 'slave' terms.
We're going to need to come up with gender neutral serial port terminology too - male, female, gender-benders, dongles, bit-banging
I feel like home ownership is a major life goal. It's certainly in the best interests of the people at the top as you are enslaved to a 15 or 30 year mortgage and can be counted on to pay into the many avenues of maintenance that comes with home ownership: not only house maintenance, but community maintenance in the form of taxes and bonds.
Totally agree.
Ask me to name famous actors and I can only come up with a few. I don't really watch movies and average people don't really follow tech.
You're not accounting for the fact that work these days at the bottom level can be done by Recent College Grads at the entry level pay, with guidance from an employee that has been around for a while. These young employees come in with much more enthusiasm than people that have been around for a while. Presumably the 20% of employees that are getting laid off are older workers that are highly compensated, and for that high compensation they may be able to hire on 2 or 3 RCGs.
The RCG Mill of corporations is alive and well.
I used to go to Compgeeks.com for Cobweb Corner, but they kind of removed that section about 10 years ago, and I stopped visiting the site. As many have mentioned the deals to be had were mediocre, and usually refurb equipment. This was fine in the days that the difference between a refurb and a new computer was significant, but now, they haven't adapted, so therefore they become Ancient History.
It is a start at building an battery/gas station infrastructure between SF and LA.
The deal breaker for me is having to come back the same route to pick up your original battery. What if i'm not actually coming back on I-5 between SF and LA?
What's funny about this April Fools Joke is Delta recently announced a Glass Bottom Jet feature where you can see what mountains, and cities are underneath you while flying. If you log onto Gogo In-Flight Internet while on board a Delta flight and use the Flight tracker on the iPhone/iPad you can see the attractions and terrain on your iPhone/iPad as you near them during the flight

Just because he had an Islamic name they thought he was more than a college student trying to make things easier for students in general. He did the right thing, reporting the flaw, an this is what happens?
The administration are idiots
This was a senior design project of mine. Didn't have the resources to implement it, with only a $500 budget, we decided to change it to telling how many parking spaces are in a garage depending on how many spaces were initially available and how many cars had entered.
A lot of software I used still has not been updated for Vista/Win 7. I figure in about 5 years I won't need that software anymore. After that, I'll switch to whatever the latest is, which will probably just be Win 8!
The market wanted to cut corners and they got it, now you blame the provider?
Sometimes you don't get to work on "real" problems because you don't have the resources (money, education, tools, etc).

Perfect timing with the demise of Sears!! Amazon will take over the world!
Cool concept. Add in BlueTooth headphones and Boss detection on the outer collar and I'll be sold!
Apparently that already happened https://gizmodo.com/5676641/al...

In a universe where the 99% ruin it for the 1%. Hide file extensions for 99% of people that don't need them, let the 1% un-check the box.

exactly!
Will a site be protected from being slashdotted? It's kind of a DDoS
this is hilarious! what is old is new again. Now think back to something that's fallen out of favor and capitalize on it!
How is this any different from locking down systems, ensuring security updates are installed. Setting up firewalls, port forwarding, NAT, VPN, etc?

I agree. Just another way to put a larger circle through a square hole.
Loved this game and I was just about to make your exact post :)
You do also realize that Microsoft bought the company that made Visio and made it into an Office product.

I thought they did offer refunds for people that were unable to connect to the servers during launch?
