The problem on Broadway is the road is narrow and there is too much traffic. That road needs a dedicated bus lane, but there has been a lot of opposition the occasional time that has come up over the years. Ultimately the solution to the transit problems on Broadway will be to extend the Skytrain to UBC.

No, the onus is on you to explain what was so revolutionary about the original iphone. Almost every feature was already present on other phones and the first iphones did not even have simple features like cut and paste. What was impressive about the original iphone was the way it combined features from other mobiles into a single phone that did not feel clunky.

Preprogrammed personality disorders show up in robots in many fictional universes. Marvin is a good example, although it is not clear if he was programmed to be paranoid or if he grew into that personality the way the Sirius Cybernetics Corp. elevators grew into theirs. In Star Wars all of the talking robots have some sort of personality disorder. It is unlikely that out of billions of droids we only meet the mentally ill ones, so it seems reasonable that all droids are programmed that way.

    > I don't understand how A New Hope could be considered better other than the fact that it introduced the Star Wars universe.

I tend to agree, but in defense of the original Star Wars, it was a self-contained story that worked well whereas The Empire Strikes Back was an experiment in serial movie-making that did not work out well. In some ways Empire was ahead of its time and anticipated the various cinematic universes of today. In some ways it paved the road for these universes. However, despite being a well-made professional movie with dialogue that (for the most part) did not make one cringe, it suffered from the weakness of needing Return of the Jedi to complete the experience because the two movies were essentially one story with three-year gap in the telling.
