    Wouldn't you miss everything that was in the other layer though? For example say a car wrecks and the wheel flies toward you. With the 2D, would you see the tire at all?

    When the trouble first started. America was going to send over some coolant and everythign was going to be OK. Now it seems there's no chance for the coolant systems to recover. So how come they don't drop in some coolant (maybe liquid Nitrogen) to get the temperatures down, then pull the rods out and get them into some mobile cooling units and transfer to where ever it is that they get disposed of? Do they still think they can contain everything within the reactors? Is there no option to pull out the rods?

    Not to mention if the war went on much longer the Russians might have gotten into Japan too. Then we might have ended up with a situation like Germany, with a split state.
    The Japanese didn't surrender after the first nuke. Had they known we only had two, they might have not surrendered after the second either.

    Once smart phone chips get faster and some kind of pull out screen is invented, then tablets will be replaced by the phones but the laptops will still be a step ahead. The laptops should get faster and lighter too so they should maintain the gap with the current phones..

  17. The difference between redeeming 1 valid code and redeeming 10? Thats pretty easy. Most people learn how to count pretty early on. Or looking at how fast they redeemed them. "Oh, it only took them 1.28 seconds to type in this 25 character string of not-so-random numbers.... how odd!"

    That's a BS argument. He didn't release them for that point and probably had no idea what he was releasing.

    So those hundreds of thousands of wires he turned over was proof of the treason the government was committing? Was there even one instance of wrongdoing in those wires?

    I don't understand why the US citizenry is so scared of the government. We have one of the best government in terms of freedom in the world. We have a soldier give up protected information with no regard to it's content and no purpose other than to release information and there are many people who would support him. I would support him if the wires he released exposed illegal activity by the US government or some kind of coverup but what he did was with no purpose. I wonder if those that are supporting him even know what the wires were about. Or are you guessing since it showed up on Wikileaks it was something damning the US government.

    Though I guess I rather have people question the government than blindly following.

    Wouldn't that depend on the radius from the star? Closer to the star the faster your tangential velocity needs to be to maintain orbit.

    No one came back in time during the game to take out Watson. So we can reason that either time travel doesn't exists or that Watson doesn't end up being a problem for humanity's future. Guess the third option is that Watson was successful in eliminating all the humans.

    From the IBM spots during the show it seems they think it could be helpful in the medical field.

    But the hardware isn't really needed for practical use. the hardware gets you quick answer to win in Jeopardy but if you are willing to wait for 2 hours, IBM said 1 cpu could run Watson. With the database stored online and a portable tablet with 4 cores running the Watson program, I could see it for retail in ten years. Not at $20 though, maybe $200.
