LED's are made of plastic and plastic is a hydrocarbon, and they break down and expire and will go into land fills too. Most of them are engineered to only barely meet the very weak regulatory requirements to be energy efficient. Apple is no more green or honest than De Beers and blood diamonds.

I am just using Seminary as an example of nothing more than other people giving other people papers that they somehow are in the know about God or Religion. The entire purpose of institutionalizing this process is for gate-keeping who is or is not considered to be a prophet for any God or Religion.
I can't speak for all Gods, but if you read any religions there is in the vast majority of cases a prophet or an Avatar of of their choosing.
Your problem is that you think I need to prove something like this, when the problem is entirely something different.
Is a person a police officer or lawyer because they graduated college? No they are not... they must first be granted those positions by someone in Actual Authority, the same would be for any god you can think of.... or are you operating under the idea that a god would just approve of anyone claiming to be theirs? There is a mechanism and authority in place that makes people legally lawyers and cops, but there is not one in place for religions other than "people claiming" they are in such a position, without the proof of the being they claim to follow.
none of this is news, in fact it's well known. The entire reason for institutionalized learning is to make sure people are indoctrinated into a certain world view and this is not a slant at any particular political group. That is how everyone does it.
One of my absolute favorite proofs of this is Seminary. Every time I meet a preacher than talks about attending seminary I ask them. Why did you attend? Then I ask them, if they would have paid any attention to any of the actual Prophets of the Bible... because God would have absolutely without question chose a Prophet that would never have attended seminary and there is a very good reason for that.
God chooses His Prophets and declares whom or what is wise, not other men passing around little pieces of paper.

I can recognize all sorts of dumb things I have done in life. I also recognize all sorts of dumb things others have done in life. It is the people that refuse to accept that they are dumb and do dumb things that are the worst among us.
Well, people usually are a product of their environments, the problem with that concept is that the result of that product is up to the person.
If the person is abused as a child they could be abusive as well or anti-abusive... both positions are likely a product of their environment because one never got over it and the other resolved that they would not continue the chain of abuse. Because of this, people get a false idea of the concept of "Social Priming"
I posit that it is not Social Priming that creates what people like or dislike, instead "Social Priming" creates closet cases. If society responds positively to something then more people tend to be open about what they are. If society responds negatively then more people tend to keep it in the closet. People don't stop being what they are, they just hide it instead when it's perceived as negative.

One of the main reasons we use chemicals is because governments only allow chemicals to get patents, well... time to get rid of patents so businesses will no longer have a perverse incentive to develop nasty chemicals as solutions to problems and instead let them develop more natural solutions, they do exist, they just cannot be monetized and for good reason!

I said I like XKCD and I said they are witty, I am just saying that if all discourse being distilled down into XKCD links then it is just a sign of the problem.
Nothing of what I said was pseudo-intellectual, many well respected scientists including Nobel Laureates have espoused the exact same views I have on the subject. Heck even many therapists have commented negatively on our "twitter" like shortness in regards to the news.

I like XKCD and all, but let get real for a minute, problems can hardly be summed up as such and are tantamount to nothing other than mudslinging. Unless someone is 100% in lock step with your beliefs on something then XKCD articles are mostly used to imply that dissenters are just ignorant morons. The problem is far more complex and what is even worse... XKCD's articles are better though of as a problem that all sides in every debate shares.
Everyone has confirmation bias, and all sides have people that will overlook the sins of their fellow compatriots because the ends really do justify the means. Take an politically polarized subject and you will find someone calling for criminal charges, fines, imprisonment, and even the death of those disagreeing with them. There is no faster proof of an unscientific moron than when someone trots out one of these following fallacies...

Gatekeeping qualifications... Only a certified, licensed, or recognized group/institution/team are allowed to have an opinion... except skeptics because their opinions are invalidated by the professionals that I happen to agree with.

I lost a family member like this, not from the surgery though... just died in regular care in post op choking on her own vomit because her bed was malfunctioning and would not move up and down and because of her stomach surgery so she could not bend up or roll over to clear her throat. She died alone, without assistance from any of the attending nurses, or family. The malfunction of the bed was known for days before the event. It terrifies me that someone can literally die, in a hospital from their own vomit. How long does this take to happen? Why was there no assistance?
It is shocking how much you would think regulations would save people from these things but just like this article... I wonder how many people died despite the regulations and what I am betting a complete lack of enforcement of them. You pay off the right people, you can get by with a lot of things, and I am not talking about being intentionally malicious, I am talking about people making mistakes but they refuse to report them because it rocks the boat, gets someone in trouble, or because they just don't care.
If life has taught me one thing it is this. Most people are stupid, followed by lazy people, followed by corrupt people. The stupid people are often fooled into thinking safe things are safe when they are not, lazy people just ignore a problem because they think the problem is harmless, and the corrupt people... that cannot be bothered to spare the expenses necessary to make sure things are working as they should. It makes the lazy people to afraid to buck the system, and because most times nothing goes wrong it leads people to think things that are not safe are safer than they actually are. This lesson has a shockingly low amount of awareness in everyday life. People know more about cancer than they know about basic human behavior.

The current rise in temperature around the world is also adequately explained by our constant increase in energy production and consumption. A lot of science back in the day though they had the final solutions as well, though it turns out much of it was wrong now... after we went back and revisited the "evidence"
Only a cultist asks for me to prove AGW wrong, especially when the AGW cultists have not proven that AGW as we claim to understand it is correct.
