Facebook's terms of service (TOS) used to say that when you closed an account on their network, any rights they claimed to the original content you uploaded would expire. Not anymore.
But if I delete my account, they'll still have access to all my artwork which my friends said was 'AweZumZ!', all the girls want prints of it and everything.
I'm the talk of Facebook, but if I leave evil Facebook will steal it all!
Bear in mind that 3D projections require 2 images to be projected, meaning that the resolution is infact 2x(2048x1080).
That's the only reasonable conclusion I can come to what they're saying, it's a bit misleading for the general public (as they wouldn't know what resolution Blu-ray is running at), but I guess the whole point is to talk the new projectors up as much as possible.
From personal experience seeing Quantum of Solace and Transformers in digital format as well as analogue, I can safely say that the digital format was a lot sharper and more defined than the analogue format.
Personally I prefered the digital format, the quality difference wasn't that noticable, I only really realised the difference at the start of the movie (when I wasn't immersed in it).
I have no idea what projectors the cinemas were using, so I can't comment on that.
Has anyone had a similair experience with digital projections, or am I alone in prefering the digital projection?
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but in the past I've been told that cinemas make next to nothing off the actual ticket selling and make most of their money from the consumables they offer.
The whole reason consumables are so expensive is because it's the only way the can make any money (except raising ticket prices, which would stop anyone coming).
mobâ noun, adjective, verb, mobbed, mobâ...bing. â"noun 1. a disorderly or riotous crowd of people. 2. a crowd bent on or engaged in lawless violence. 3. any group or collection of persons or things. 4. the common people; the masses; populace or multitude. 5. a criminal gang, esp. one involved in drug trafficking, extortion, etc. ______
I don't see a crowd here.
Number 3 is probably more applicable in this case, a group of people have been exploiting this security flaw to their advantage.
And since it seems to be a co-ordinated attack, a group of people seems an applicable word to describe them.
I thought flash mobs are groups of people in the same place at the same time. Not all over the world?
By the name, I suppose a flash mob suggests a mob of people doing something 'in a flash' (in a short period of time).
A mob doesn't necessarily have to be in the same spot, at least it doesn't have to be the way I understand it.
Perhaps in the past a mob would have to be in the same location, but due to the way the world is all interlinked nowadays someone can affect something on the otherside of the world, meaning the world has gotten a lot 'smaller' as such.
The World of Warcraft patcher uses bit-torrent, but since it's a proprietary client it uses set ports that are unchangeable.
Someone wrote a guide somewhere showing you how to rip the torrent file out of the executable (it was built into the executable), and then allow you to use a torrent program of your choice.
I think Blizzard might have changed a few things since I stopped playing, but I'm sure you can still find the seperate torrents around on fan sites.
For some reason it seems Americans want to pronounce everything differently from people in the rest of the world, Lego is a great example.
English people (and the rest of the world it seems) says 'Lego' as the plural, while America insists on saying 'Legos' as the plural; God only knows why.
The problem with the current generation of MMO players is that they don't care about the storyline or what the quest text is.
I would happily play through reading all the text to quests and take in the area, but unfortunately all my friends will have overtaken and left me behind within a day.
I offered to play the original NVN with a few of my friends as I didn't really fancy taking up World of Warcraft again on a different server, and as soon as I mentioned it having a proper storyline and having an impact in the world, one of them replied 'Oh is it all boring dialogue then?'.
It seems that nowadays people want LESS storyline in there games, at least in the RPG genre. While FPS games are getting a bit of a storyline, probably the same amount that people want the RPG games dumbed down to.
Wait a minute...

I should have stayed on MySpace. /wrist
I thought you were describing something along the lines of:
- Your friend downloads album X
- He gives you album X
- You seed album X
Which would reduce the upload from someone else.
But as you described, this wasn't what you were planning. But the way you've described it, surely it would be easier to just seed the original albums?
I guess if you're the only seeder, you'll at least get a whole upload to someone else guaranteed, while you wouldn't with the originals.
The problem is that you not downloading it reduces the amount that other people can upload.
Making it even more difficult for people to get up to the 1:1 ratio.
I got invited to a private tracker the other day that expected everyone to keep a ratio of over 1:1.
It's nice to know some sites are so far up their own arse that they forget quite how bit-torrent works and fail at basic maths.

Well not on her mind; but on her finger, yes.
ISO sure did a great job with that office document format standardisation.
