My only gripe doesn't have to do with the currencies but the fact that all the psp stuff is mixed in with the ps3. I get that sony wants me to buy a psp but bugging me all the time with all the damn psp stuff is a turn off.
what sony REALLY needs to do is emulate the psp on the ps3 so you can play your games on the ps3 or the psp. I'd actually buy one then and there are several psp games i'd buy just to play on the ps3. (loco roco, papaton, mgs, gow, assassin's creed, etc)
Is/was Sony's use of non-SD for expandable storage. MemoryStickPRO has come down considerably in price and its still 2x more expensive than SDHC per gig.
Why is it ok for Java to be slower than everything that came before it? Because supposedly its easier to use and hardware is always getting cheaper. Why is it ok for Python to be slower than Java? Because it IS easier to use and hardware is always getting cheaper.
Microsoft has set a precedent that its ok if things crash and ok if things break. They have cemented this into the mind of users with their software products over the years. Also, lets be completely honest here, have you ever gone on any of these forums and read the banter or seen how technical questions are answered? I'd say that the vast majority of gamers are NOT technically well versed. They are the quintessence of mindless consumers. I know that sounds harsh but its true.
Listening to a walkman with a friend constitutes a public performance. You have not acquired the proper license for for said performance. You now owe the RIAA $80,000 for infringement.
I think I can wait until tmobile gets better 3g coverage or more carriers get android phones. If you want an open platform for your next phone you'll be getting an android phone, cuz afaik there are really no other options.
used to enhance the usability of postgresql. Thats really the only reason people continue to use mysql. Its certainly the reason I continue to use it today. Postgresql just has too much setup/maintenance imo.
was all that solid. And they had 10 years and 5+ commercial releases to get it right? Now they are starting something completely new? Yeah, sign me right up for that.:/
That's the beauty of FLOSS. It might not be perfect but at least you are paying out of your pocket so some company can test out their software on you.
Just because your OS uses a piece of software does not mean you should immediately upgrade subsequent versions of said OS with that software.
By Ubuntu's own admission the number one bug in tracker is that Microsoft has more market share. It helps if you don't blindly release a new desktop where one of the primary functions (its not just smb issues, they run the gamut) of that desktop is broken.
GVFS is total junk right now. It has to be the single worse regression in GNOME history. Now Ubuntu is using another new version of GNOME with the same regression that was in place with the last LTS release.
ATI has always had really good cards. Unfortunately they've also always had really poor drivers. Thats been the problem all along. If you look at benchmarks you can still find very inconsistent results. (Yes even with their newest uber cards).
it doesn't work very well with my ps3. I've got it running on an old p4-2.8gz machine with gig interfaces. handles my 60Mbit connection at full speed

I'm so sick of people making number comparisons between similar technologies that were released sometimes YEARS earlier than the others.

I'M BIG BONED!!!
Because we all know that Red Hat has never contributed anything to major open source projects and never paid people to work on those projects. :/
you saved me a post. that was a great game. i'm sure the gaming industry would figure out how to release it as an FPS though. :)
and that way when you miss something. and you will, they can come back in a month and you can charge them all over again.

oh dude, that made me laugh.
for something. ooooh yeah, that.
Just putting it somewhere so I can say, "I told you so" :)

I can't believe these companies think that anything more than a small number of people will pay those prices.
If you can't provide video at a flat $20 bucks unlimited per month. Or $1 per rental for movies and $0.50 for tv episodes then don't waste your time.
Then again maybe there are enough sheeple out there to sustain these ridiculous prices.
their cost of distribution.
What difference does it make if you sell a million COPIES of something at $10 or ten million at $1.
or gnome community will ever get behind microsoft sponsored technologies?
Whether anyone wants to admit it one of the major driving forces behind the creation of gnome was simply because QT wasn't completely free.
I really don't see it ever happening. There are way too many good technologies out there to adopt that don't have the baggage.
People need to learn the hard way. There is no substitution for really getting screwed over.
and the movies have more of a comedic feel to them. Granted the comics have comedy elements as well but the films are very overdone in the regard.
They are still very enjoyable movies but they seem to be out in their own world. I thought their take on Hellboy Jr. was pretty lame though.
