of something like this before? Wasn't there some company threatening to sue companies who use linux if they didn't license their IP? And weren't there people who came forward to say that it was Microsoft's idea and money financing the whole thing? I must be mistaken.
They are still blindly using the Date: field for received and sent mail. The so called fix is to sort by the 'Order Received' column. That column is inaccurate when you start moving messages around between folders. I really wish the TB developers would wake up. I know of no other mail client that doesn't parse out the Received date from the headers and make it available. In fact it is the default date for most other mail clients as well. I've lost count of the number of people who have brought this up to me when I tell them to check out TB. TB (imo) is a superior email client to outlook express except for this one issue that they keep ignoring.
This is based on a beta from a few weeks ago, feel free to correct me if they woke up between then and the release and fixed this issue.
that day will be when they wake up and make 'Sent' and 'Received' Dates rather than just Sent. No one uses Sent except for the Sent folder ya bunch of hacks.
I have a 61" 1080p native set. Even DVDs look like ass compared to broadcast HD and blu-ray movies. You really get a sense of it if you only watch HD content for a few weeks and then watch a DVD.
We got our Roomba last summer. Top of the line (at the time) 4230 model. We never really used it much but after about 10 uses the suspension in the front wheel went out. iRobot had us send it back and we waited patiently for 3 months before we had to bitch enough that they would send us a new one. Supposedly our unit was on back order. Funny, they sold our unit right in their own online store as INSTOCK. So after all that they send us a new one with the caveat that this unit will not automatically dock with our base station, we'll have to wait for that base station to be available in stock. Well its been about 9 months now and they still haven't sent us that base station. Do not give this company your money.
Customer service definitely separates the good companies from the bad companies.
We also have a Dyson (we use the Roomba on the first floor which is all hardwood/tile) for us in the basement (1000+ sqft of carpet). At the time of purchase it was also the top of the line model DC17. The thing is ridiculously powerful. People don't realize that 80% of that 'stuff' they pick up is actually carpet fibers its chewing off your flooring.
"People once believed that when someone dies, a crow carries their soul to the land of the dead. I'd say Sprint has the most impressive network but the things I don't like about them are:
1. They try to lock even their long standing customers into a new contract as soon as a change needs to be made to the service.
2. Cell phone lock in (but the same could be said for nearly all other providers as well).
Beyond that they have great coverage and their prices aren't bad if you have a contract. I recently found out that Virgin Mobile actually leases access to Sprint's network and resells service as prepaid and month to month (no contract). Its more expensive but I'm sure some people like the idea of not being tied to a specific carrier and its worth an extra 20-30% to them.
BS. I lost count of all the regressions I came across between 6.06 and 6.10. The quality assurance just isn't there with ANY linux distribution because its dependent on 'you and I' and 'you and I' are lazy fucks:D
Did a little experiment with the last 2 releases of openoffice-core on Ubuntu Edgy.
I did an 'ar xv' on both files and did a xdelta of the data.tar.gz's. The original data was 33MB for each package. A delta between those two data files was only 4.4MB or ~ 13% of the original download size.
Everything that is needed to make a delta of a previous binary release is available on the box. Packages should be reconstructed if possible and a delta from the previous release should be made available. If that isn't possible the new full package should be downloaded. Drive space is dirt cheap and should be the only limiting factor.
Personally I think rpm/deb/etc own anything out there EXCEPT for the fact that I have to download the entire package everytime something gets updated. Even if it only amounts to a few Kb of a 100MB file.
Microsoft found to be full of shit up ears and rest toilet paper.
are you new? obviously not. unless you think dell is going to maintain their own version of ubuntu. which they won't.

I make 6 figures working with Debian on the Server and Ubuntu on the Desktop. I'm also 6'6 and 350lbs. Now what is it you just called me?
read my post. the issue is that you can't view the received date in a column. only the date set by the senders email client/smtp server.

to know that its better than 1080i. Christ, 1080i looks like complete ass the second there is any fast movement.

pretty much has brought all staff/faculty/student computers on campus down.
