The theory behind one time pads are solid - the problem is how do both sender and receiver get the same one time pad ?
The one time pad are the same size as the message thus it equalkly hard to transfer the pad in a secure manner between the two as sending the message itself.
But if you already have a way to transfer the one time pad in a secure manner - why bother using one time pads - why not transfer the data that way instead ?
One-time-pads are mostly used when sending the pad can be slow to transfer - while sending the message must be fast. They usually actually transfer the one time pad between the two parties by courier which is very expensive. That makes it possible to send the message in a very secure way once the pad has been transfered.
This makes one-time pads basically useless and are only used when one have very high security messages to transfer and very deep pockets. (Read goverment spies/diplomats )

Bar are not exact enough. So today the meter is defined by the distance light travesl in 1 second diveded by a very large numer (which happens to the same number that defines how many meter the light travels in one second).
When IDC do their annual report of which country are the most advanced in IT - Finland,Sweden and Norway are among the best.
USA ARE NOT the #1 nation when it comes to IT.
This year Sweden was #1.
The three are very small countries but it does not mean thay can't be ahead of USA.

Sorry but open source coders would not get the propriatory code in 7 years since there is nothing in the law that says they have to disclose the propriatory source code.
On the other hand the open source source code can be used by the priopriatory software developers as they please since they will be able to get hold of the code...
Making the copyright period too short will actually be counter-productive for open source code.
GPL are dependent on copyright - many seam to miss that.
I would like to have an MTA that checks every email server the first time and every 1000 times that it sends a relayed email to see if the other MTA is an open relay and complain to the others abuse email-adress directly and refuse to receive email from them until they fix their server.
If that was part of sendmail it should automagically fix many open relays...
Well, all nations should have a national law making spam a crime. Those countries that do not - should not be allowed to connect to Internet.
I am peronally stopping ALL email from some countries since all I get from them are spam anyway.
By makeing laws that both the one sending spam and the corporation whose ad it is are criminals, one can stop spam from most countries.
Also it sould be a fine for each open relay mail server...
Don't you onder how snail-mail can be sent over the world to different countries - the same kind of cooperations needs to be done to stop spammer. All nations need to unite against hte spammers.

What should be done is the someone should sets up a law proposal an try and get everyone to agree on it and to sell it too all countries in the United Nations.
All civilized countries have the strange idea that people accused of a crime should have legal representation in court.
In some countries that are done by public defendant lawyers. In others one can select any lawyer one want, that wants to represent you on the standard fee the court will give the lawyer.
Since he is accused of a crime he has the rights to a lawyer.
This is a criminal case - you don't get a free lawyer if you want to sue someone.
Actually, Bollywood makes about 5 films for every 2 made in the US. So India is #1 when it comes to making movies , but since they monstly make it for thier own market noone in US ever sees them.

Well, in Sweden a contract only needs to be affirmed by both parties it does not have to be a signature on a paper.
A handshake is enough for a legal contract.
A contract can be done by smoke signals if one wants to do it that way.
The only requirement is that both parties agree to the contract.
For certain types of contract it has to be on paper or with a approved digital signature.
Why not contact them maybe they would be willing to enchance so it becomes a class action lawsuit ?

No it'e never existed a java virus. The only way to that would be to find a security flaw in one JVM implementation.
There has been very few java exploits most was because of the javascript interaction from java so they where because of javascrip and not java.
But java applets are'nt used much anymore most people seam to be content using java servlets or applications.
