1. Temperarature rise for the last 250 years of 1.5 degree C is entirely because of increased CO2 emissions. 2. Vulcanic activity can seriously lower the earths temperature and affects the curve with downward spikes.
No other activity shows any significant colleration towards earth temperature. They have checked against solar flares and other activites and all they compared against has had no impact. CO2 rise looks to be the major cause behind it all.
Basically they are saying: Critics of AGW are wrong.
The data will be fully available on their webplacce form 30 july with abilities for visitors to test the data themselves and to toy with how the temperature rise has affected their local temperature.
1. A few uses microsofts brower since they work at microsoft and are forced too. 2. Other uses it because their company forces them 3. Some because they are forced to use them for some webb sites they use. 4. Other uses it because they don't know better. 5. Some dont really surf the web so they don't bother to download a great browser. 6. Some are masochists.
IE users fall into one or more of these six categories.
So yes US of A is in a big heap of trouble. Something need to be done. The fiscal clip was not a joke. USA really need to get its act together and fix the economy. And that means higher taxes to pay of the debt.
The OEM version comes with a recovery CD. You can't use a recovery CD to install an operating system on a new computor. So the CD is more or less useless without your original hard disk.
The speedup comes from the fact that the interface allows for higher amount of eletricity to flow into the cars batteries.
Cable and contacts need to be able to handle the higher voltage and ampare needed to fill the cars batteries with energy faster. The bigger the cable the more electrons can flow through it.
It's your own fault. Have not people been telling you to stop downloading software from untrusted sites ?
You will get viruses and such if you insist of downloading from sites of disreputable companies who many times has been found guilty of intellectual property theft in courts.
It's asking for trouble. Do what most people do - use a torrent!
You can do that by color coding the paperballots in different colors so you dont get them confused and can put them in the right box of votes. For example blue paper ballots for presidental race, red for senate, white for house of reprasentatives, green for local elections and yellow, pink etc for propositions.
The Pirate Party here in Sweden been arguing just these points for a long time now. Innovation is not happening in a vacuum. Great ideas inspire others to come up with even greater ideas. By sharing the information and sharing the data others can look at it and improve it and the speed of research will increase.
The patent system is not something that foster innovation. Its is something that hinder innovation. Remove it
Also the billions of money going to patents trolls and feeding lawyers to hand patents could be instead used to invest in research to further the science of mankind.
Remember the netbook ? The ones that ran Linux ? The ones that was a huge sucess with screen sizes of 7 and 9 inches ?
Then Microsoft came and got everyone to agree that a netbook has to have a 10 inch screen. And it killed netbook making them small cheap notebooks. Now the pads is the netbook option once more and without a keyboard.
So everyone could have seen this coming - if they bothered to look and see what it was that got the consumer to fuss about the smaller 7 and 9 inch netbooks.
Actually thats true. In the post-pc computing era 2013 is the year when Android will have sold more copies then Windows 7. With the post-pc era I'm talking about pc, smartphones and pads merged into one market for computers.
Currently the linux distrubution Android is outselling Windows 7 with about 50%. By the end of 2013 Android will have delivered more units then Windows 7. In the longer run - with the current sales continuing - we are looking into future a situation where about 3 of 5 of the post pc era computors will be running a linux kernel and most of the others splitting with running Windows and iOS.
Well, unless the linux kernel distributions penetration and market share of sales goes up even more of course.
Yes, well given that the report just showed basically the same trend as IPCC reports, the report was not really the story. The real story was that we had a big non-believer on AGW had a change of heart when he did the research himself and came to the same conclusion as IPCC.
It basically said that if you dont trust IPCC reports - do the research yourself and you will get the same results.
Please dont dont try and 'fix it'. And by fix it I mean make it worse. Adding alot of visual cute feature that slow down download of page will only make it take longer to download. For all that pay per MB of download - its better the less frills the more information. Lets keep wikipedia as a place with a high signal to noice ratio (SNR).
I love wikipedias simple and elegant design that puts the fokus on the information available on a page and with a high SNR. Please dont destroy it.
Actually for every 2 new windows 7 machines there is 3 new machines running Linux. Or about 600 thousand windows and 900 thousand Linux (a large part of that is android) every day.
So by beginning of 2014 there will have been more android sold then windows 7. Given that this continues in the long run it means that the domination of Microsoft in the home computer business is over. They will continue to be a big player but they will not be nearly as dominant as today
Of course Microsoft sees this and wants in on the smartphone market. They want to stop the trend. But I doubt they will succeed to squash the upstart this time like they done many times before. This will mean we will get real competion on the IT market and the consumers will be the big winners.

Strange but true.

Noone really uses FAT - everyone uses VFAT and Microsoft require alla companies who uses VFAT to pay them for a license.
That way noone can do a free software version of it.
It's their way to stop free software.
It would be just as valid to say that the Eurozone has the biggest debt the world has ever seen.
US has about 35% more debt per person then Greece.

for most programmers.
That's because most programmers don't have english as their first language.
Putting pictures on the Internet are publishing them. By uploading the picture on instagram or facebook you are in essence publishing the pictures.
So then it's your fault.
Industrial control systems like the ABB Masterview had been doing it since the 80-ties. So no its wasn't new in the year 2000.
Due to a court decision about ten years ago, patent holders now have to sue before they can discuss patent licensing.
Bullshit! There is no such rule.
Its perfectly normal to discuss licensing deals before suing someone. It happens all the time between civilized companies.
Then there are the rouge companies who refuse to even talk about licensing and sue directly - but they are hardly the norm.

In terms of AGW its all about USA. USA is one of a very few select holdouts countries that refuse to do anything about AGW.
With USA on board the rest of the holdouts will be forced to join too.
USA is also the biggest contributor to AGW so if USA fix their pollution it will have a vary large impact on the world.

I think you will find there are many apps for that.
And if you dont know what you wanna eat - just press the random button.
since everything people will remember is that guy who wrote an operating system and gave it away for free.
The same operating system they still will use in the future.
Thus they will not remember them at all and when asked who was the most influental It-personality in the year 2000 they will answer;
Linux Torvalds - the guy who wrote the operating system Linux and gave it away for free.
PS Yes, they will probably spell Linus with an x, because noone will remember unix.
Yes, but are FBI an offically sanctioned law enforcement agency in NZ ?
