The worst part - and not so laughable - I'd bet better than even money that in the end the US government will let them get away with everything... but that's just me being cynical, right?
Seriously, I'd love to be doing game design/programming for a living...
SDL is one of the better things to happen for the open source community though - I just wonder how many commercial gaming companies will pick it up and run with it - making all the Linux gamers happy.
The same could be said for ext2, really... but the idea is that after an "unclean" shutdown you don't have to wait as long for a disk check... at least that's what I look to either reiserFS or EXT3 for... When you start looking at really large disk arrays - ext2 fsck takes a helluva long time.

Really, I'd rather not have to pay to see any web site, so I take ads as a necessary evil... kinda like I watch 40 minute buffy episodes with 20 minutes of commercials, thus paying for the show.
Ads on the 'net do have to mature... and stop being so stupid (pop up/under/anything for example) -- I close those windows before they even have a chance to load their content...
Elitism isn't a very attractive feature in anyone... but then it's not Rob's fault, really.
He is what the/. community has made him into. He's basically his own boss, who's got a shitload of cash at a very early age, and reality can't touch him - so he's free to poke fun at whatever he pleases.

Here are the Geode specs... "Speeds offered up to 266 MHz"
At least that's what I thought those end of financial quarter results were saying...

So, yes, it is shipping now... contrary to popular belief...
