And exactly how many titles support this please? I'm going to guess very few. Frankly, I wish it was the other way around, but for now it appears that this is just bragging rights.
Exactly! Mod parent up.
Right now the video game market is being driven largely by the consoles that have video cards from ten years ago. There's really not much to max out a ePenis like this card.
Actually you can just require that the coaches and players use specific equipment on the playing field. So no cell phones, pocket computers, etc. After each game you collect the equipment again, and check to make sure it hasn't been compromised. Not perfect, but it solves a lot of problems with potential cheating.
Sports are rife with things that seriously improve performance, but are illegal since they don't enhance the competition of man v man, how will using a computer to do the job of the coach be any different?
You're totally missing the point.
Ponzi Scheme - The people who get out first make tons on the people who get out later, if they make anything at all. Ida paid in $22, got back $22K, which is a 1000x return on her money. We should all be so lucky.
And here's the great thing - choice. You don't like it, you don't use it, you made the choice that was right for you.
Right, I don't like it, I don't use it, I have that choice. Doesn't mean that it's not a problem.
Apple to date has sold something like 100 million iPhones/iPod touches/iPads. Seems like it's not a problem for a lot of people...
The whole walled garden issues with the iOS have become more apparent recently, after Apple had grabbed a sizable chunk of the market. In recent news it seems that Android has been kicking their ***, probably in part due to growing awareness of this issue.
People who want something that has been banned by the controls of the App Store whatever it might be for a particular platform.
I think it's great to have an App Store, for exactly the reason you mentioned, I think it's a bad idea to have it be the ONLY source for applications for your device.
I put my money where my mouth is, and got a G2, instead of an iPhone. I've also got an iPod touch, which was a gift, and I seldom use it now that I have the G2.
Mod parent up! It's all in the implementation. A central point is only a problem when it's the ONLY source, and there are no viable alternatives, like the iPhone App Store.
Unless this is a serious improvement over the sensors used in US roadways its going to have a problem detecting motorcycles. Most have too little metal to set off the sensors, which is why you sometimes see bikers parking their bikes, and running over to hit the walk button.
We'll see how this works out, now that the Chinese are providing all the ability to get things done as it were. Maybe they REALLY do need somebody to come up with the neat idea, but somehow I suspect that the guy doing the sweating is more valuable, even if he isn't paid as much.
Seriously tried a couple of the searches in the article.... nothing came up. Maybe they fixed it for this guy, who knows. Anyway, I always check for feedback on new (possibly sketchy) sites. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
This sounds boring, useless, and a huge buzzword heavy distraction. The SEC had multiple people coming forward for many years before they prosecuted Bernie Madoff, I'm sure some of these people had proof. How is this any different from what they're claiming to do. Instead it sounds like a lazy buricrates way of getting his boss off his back.
SEC Fraud Guy: "Hey Boss, lets *crowdsource* it!"
Boss: (I don't know what that is) "Sure! And here's a nice raise!"
Sounds incredibly boring and not very useful. The SEC had multiple people come forward and report Bernie Madoff for fraud long before they decided to punish him. What going to fix that?

Either FDR or Ida May Fuller, who paid in $22.75 and collected $22,88.92! http://www.marginalrevolution.com/marginalrevolution/2004/11/the_social_secu.html
Mod parent up! Serious non-story/invasion of privacy/looking at a train wreck sorta dynamic in play.
Okay, so two people and a TON of servers!
So basically the two people using BitCoin decided to exchange a dollar for a BitCoin?
Well..... that fixes all the problems with prior art, now there is none!
Ditto! It's very nice and clean. I feel this sorta Zen calm. Maybe that's what's enraging all the trolls....

This would make a LOT more sense as window drapes or something similar. Passively clean the air in your house, and look nice at the same time.
Why isn't this in Idle?
Unless this is a serious improvement over the sensors used in US roadways its going to have a problem detecting motorcycles. Most have too little metal to set off the sensors, which is why you sometimes see bikers parking their bikes, and running over to hit the walk button.
Is this really news? I mean even for idle it seems a bit low. FWIW Top Shelf is not the only app that does this, there's at least one other one.

Good point, 5th from the top.

How does this stop the "open internet" from becoming a second rate citizen?
They've been shown to reduce sperm counts..... At least the traditional hard 10 speed bike seats.
