  1. Ron Howard? on Breathe Under Water Without Oxygen Tanks · · Score: 1

    There's a water/oxygen transfer system, dumbass!

  2. Voice Acting on Ask Wil Wheaton Anything (Part Deux) · · Score: 1

If I am not mistaken, Andrea Romano pulled you in as Aqualad on Teen Titans on the basis of some work you did on a previous show of hers, The Zeta Project. But how did you first break into voice acting? Did you just fall into it, or was it a concerted effort on your part?

I've always had a penchant for doing voices and imitations. I'm just wondering how a geek like me could break into what seems to be a fairly closed society. (And I am not beneath allowing others to pull strings...*cough*talk to Ms. Romano for me*cough*)

  3. Re:This is not just bad for the new Dr Who series on Daleks Exterminated From New Dr. Who · · Score: 1

MPT (maryland public tv) has been showing them beginning to end and just the other week skipped a dalek episode. last year they skipped one as well but came back to it a couple weeks later. This is very sad for those of us watching every week!

BTW, the war games only features the daleks for a couple seconds in the last episode where the doctor is showing the time lords the enemies he has been fighting during his "interfereing". Last year or so MPT didn't show the five doctors for the same reason.

  4. GPS hacking on Protecting Cities from Hijacked Planes · · Score: 1

This system is based on the assumption that the only things that would repond to the plane's on board GPS systems would be the GPS satellites in orbit...what would it take to make the GPS systems get their data from another plane broadcasting signals?

    Is this completely impractical/impossible?

There is already a channel for this...its called Tivo: Now Showing. Transformers comes on CN, as does GI Joe (at least it did a couple weeks ago at 12am), Looney Tunes on CN (Acme Hour), Spiderman and His Amazing Friends is on ABC Family on Saturdays.

Because then they'd have to pay more royalties to Terry Nation's estate, since he, not the Beeb own the copyright on the Daleks and Davros (their creator). Terry Nation was the writer of most of the Dalek stories.

I want to hear more about the TiVo-esque features of the box. It will be able to record shows to the built in HD i presume. What king of MPEG-2 encoding is being performed? Is it done in hardware (hopefully). What kind of resolution will it be able to get? How about how the files are stored on the HD. He mentions copy-protection, does that mean some form of encryption will be done to prevent me from getting MPEG-2 files of off the disk? (please say no. :))

  17. Mobile Suit Gundam Wing on Essential Anime · · Score: 1

also on Cartoon Network..i get more out of this series each time i watch it. The story seems at first to only be a front for cool Robot battles, however, its really much deeper than that. It explores man's desire to fight, honor, and the necessary precursors to peace. bruce

  18. Doctor Who involvement, past and future. on Ask Douglas Adams About...Everything · · Score: 3

Perhaps not as well known as the HGttG are your contributions to the Doctor Who universe. Besides writing "The Pirate Plant", "Shada", and co-writing "City of Death" (with Graham Williams), you were also script editor for season seventeen.

What were your reasons for stepping down as script editor after only one season? Was it limited to your growing involvement in HGttG, or to the production problems that plagued that season?

Would you consider making any more additions to Doctor Who, through a novel or radio drama?

    Thanks.
