It's the same with Netflix. Unless you are illegally ripping the DVDs. You aren't buying games, you are renting them.
Yes but Netflix only charges a monthly fee, there is no additional fees based on the amount of movies you rent. Except for BluRay, those are just $1 extra tacked onto the rental fee and it isn't per-movie.

What happened to Weave, it's been kicking around for years?
It's actually been updated recently; it's at the 1.01 release, but they've changed a lot of the options to customize it or at least access them. I even ditched Xmarks in favor of it because of the tab and history sync, and they're looking to add extensions in future releases.. https://mozillalabs.com/weave/
You could manage to avoid WGA by unchecking the checkbox when it asked to install via update, then making sure it didn't mention un-selected updates. I wonder if judicious users can keep an eye out for this and do the same?
I thought x264 encoders were free? Of course this is only based on the casual observation that many of the videos at certain websites are encoded that way.
(and not from the restore partition, which invariably puts all the crap back on there).
Pray tell who or what is this store or manufacturer that will include actual Windows install discs on a new PC purchase? That has become a deciding factor for me personally on a future laptop purchase.
If it has netflix streaming in it, you are damned sure that it will have DRM in it to protect that precious precious Netflix video from all you EVIL consumers.
The Netflix stream will be DRM'ed yes, but you can certainly stream your DRM free files fine. I don't see Netflix anywhere near linux for now.
There was an experiment done with rats where they wired up their brains' to give them an orgasm every time the rats hit a button. They wanted to see how long the rats would go on pressing the button.
They started starving to death. Can't say I blame them though.
Why is Reader being used in large-scale deployments? It's freeware-ish and gets no more support from Adobe than many of the other free pdf reader alternatives out there would get. I have Reader installed at my work without having Writer or Photoshop either.
I just moved over to OptimizeGoogle, as others suggested. It appears to have the same functionality while being updated regularly. I would give it a whirl.
Players are the least of their worries, HDTVs were so cheap this holiday season they'll be harder pressed to make people buy a new 3d HDTV in only a years time.
Aiding the enemy during a time of war is considered treason and according to US laws treason is punishable by death. NOT prison. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Article_Three_of_the_United_States_Constitution#Section_3:_Treason
I believe the legal term here is "light treason".

This is where I think Steam falls short, when indie games are offered with Steam they will also come with Steam's DRM, but through other services, they do not; e.g. http://store.steampowered.com/app/26800/ vs http://www.direct2drive.com/8106/product/Buy-Braid-Download

To find out the answer please attend a free seminar this Saturday and the airport Hilton.
I do, but only for the sweet cashback, http://www.bing.com/shopping/pages/howtouse.aspx?FORM=R5FD2 ,actually I am just testing that out.

We are required to teach the "basic educational goals of reading, spelling, grammar, math, and a study of good citizenship ..."
I can't believe I used to think homeschooling was a scarey responsibility; today I find it equally scarey to trust my sons' minds to a public edifice.
Might want to have your partner teach them spelling.
Since this is a charitable donation, in the U.S., is there some way to get it counted off taxes? It is via phone, how do you show those records?

they probably have a special deal with Netflix where they get dev support. it's like YouTube only allows API access if you pay them a lot of money
This. Although earlier Sybas lost the ability to stream YouTube, how is it they can add Netflix?

Tried to install this, got a "not compatible with FireFox 3.5" error.
I'm using it right now on Firefox 3.5.5, not sure why it would give you that error.
Sticking with the theme of Firefox extensions there is also customize google, it does more than search too. http://www.customizegoogle.com/
Based on a reading over at engadget it appears the lawsuit doesn't even mention IP theft, maybe he gave them none. We'll see how this plays out.

Do you have any reasons other than your own to believe this, or is BluRay technologically inferior to the next-gen displays?
