    Kinect is exciting and I'll get it but the biggest announcement had to be the ESPN agreement. That's a cable killer right there depending on how blackout/regional rules apply.

    I got bad news for you, it appears that the service is still dependent on ESPN having an agreement with your current ISP in place too. Not an ESPN friendly ISP account holder and no others available? Too bad for you.

    Yeah, considering that releasing games in HD-DVD format would open up your market to current 360 owners again and if you released only in HD-DVD, which no one would do as it cuts down the number of potential customers further, publishers were smart to avoid releasing games in that format.

    I used to do that for 360 controllers, I logged in a little while ago to see what it was like, they had jacked up the point values of many things substantially. I know people traded ways to get points quicker, because if you did it their way it was practically a full-time job and a minimum wage one at that.

    Well radios can always be on the background, people don't always have to be actively listening to it. TV though, I have time for maybe an hour and a half tops on a normal weekday. I can see how others would have more time for it, though there is a point where I can't sit through another show.

    You can pay through paypal without an account there, they just process the order. All you do is select the paypal option then click the radio button that says "pay by credit card".

    And here is the answer people, Costco found a way to keep their prices low and still buy products legitimately; but the manufacturer cries foul because of copyright of all things? No, no, It was sold to a U.S. distributor, don't act like you didn't know it wasn't going to be sold in the U.S. and claim First Sale doctrine violation.

    For example, "the lottery" has regularly been shown to basically be a "poor tax." Isn't there a "usual crowd" who speaks out against regressive taxation? Aren't they leftists?

    I would actually argue it is more of a "stupid tax" but I also feel that way about most forms of gambling.

    To be fair, most computer users have no idea that there is free AV out there. Perhaps that is something the author could have explained for a more balanced look at costs, but for a truly novice computer user AV is something most will end up paying money for.

    I second the community college courses, but you might need to sift through till you get a good instructor. I lucked out in the ones I have had so far have been able to explain things quite well and have good homework polices. $60 a class is unreal though, mine cost about $350 per class.

    I'm going to hazard a guess and say no, most ISP Usenet services are meager compared to the paid ones so very few, if any, will offer SSL. If the ISP does offer SSL then you should be fine, I would double-check with your ISP about this situation though.

    I switched to a paid Usenet service because it was more "private" than torrent. Does this mean I'm going to have to back to BitchX and CLI to get movies?

    No, this is only an indexer of .nzb files, which are analogous to .torrent files; it was also a pay site, there are others out there that are free or automated with ssl connections, so I hear.

    You may want to upgrade to an SSL connection though if you are worried, the ISP logs will still show you connecting to a usenet provider, but what you are downloading will not be discernible.

    I'm beginning to think that everything will one day stream Netflix. It would be nice if Netflix would concentrate less on getting their service on my refrigerator and more on expanding their selection of movies and shows available for streaming. It doesn't seem to have improved all that much since the service started.

    Because selection is dependent on the content providers and not technological limitations, which is far as I can tell are much easier to overcome.
