I agree wholeheartedly. This is just a resource, which ideally should point to other
    resources.

Research is what is needed to understand a subject. Capsulized(sp) blurbs do not
really give any inkling about a subject.

There are and have been CHILDREN's Encylopedias. They are good for general information,
but a REAL encylopedia gives in-depth information. Footnotes , sources, papers etc.

Those of you who want the 'dumbed down' version need to go to the library and read those
"Golden Books" for kids. I prefer to challenge myself to learn things I do not know,
rather than read information which bolsters my prejudices.

"Can't we just teach people to set their thermostats a couple of degrees higher in the summer and lower in the winter to save electricity and gas?"

Because the power is already being generated and will dissipate as heat LOSS if we do
not USE it. No city has huge battery banks to actually STORE electricity. Once the
fossil fuels most places use for power are burnt, they are gone. The power is generated
continuously, not just in times of higher demand.

Water, on the other hand, CAN be conserved. We do have storage places for that.
Natural gas, we can conserve, but not for the same reasons as above.

This is the worst thing to do. Despite the kingdom being a constitutional monarchy,

U.S.. He loves his people, as do the entire family.

"Enacted in 1970, RICO allows for additional jail time in the case of criminal prosecutions--and heavier civil penalties for lawsuits--if the person or entities involved are found to be part of an ongoing criminal enterprise."
I would call the baseless allegations about copyright infringement exactly that. Extortion at the LEAST.

Since copyright infringement is a CIVIL matter, the RIAA has used criminal laws to reach it's ends. SLAPPING
people who can ill afford a defense. They ARE a criminal racket, and as such, need to go away.

  17. Re:Eventually drug companies will stop selling on Brazil Voids Merck Patent On AIDS Drug · · Score: 1

Precisely, the pharm. companies will take note of this and
stop dealing with Brazil. Each country that does this will
only FUCK THEIR OWN CITIZENS. They will get second-hand
wannabe drugs instead of better researched and TESTED drugs.

In fact Brazil may become THE PLACE to test stuff on
unwitting humans. Human trials before animal trials. Sounds
    good to me.

Introduce a 'supposed' wonder drug, let Brazil steal it and manufacture it,
then test it out on it's own citizens. How much more cost effective
    would that be?

    Here is the headline :

Wonder anti-AIDS drug 'SmackThemDown' cures 95 percent of AIDS infected
Brazillian sex workers. This cyanide derivitive was stolen from Merek in
a patent dispute over pricing. Brazillian officials 'liberated' the formula
and had the drug produced in mass quantities for internal use in the Brazilian
    sex industry.

Sadly, the 'drug' was simply cyanide made tasteless. Brazil shoots self in foot.
