1. Bandai didn't handle this show. FUNimation (the American licensor of Dragonball) did. Since this is a fight show ala Dragonball, albeit with a bit more plot, it isn't outside of their speciality.
2. They didn't cover the fact that the first couple of episode is character introduction.
I live in Los Angeles. As most people in Los Angeles doesn't live anywhere near where they work, It won't be a viable option.
There are parts of the cities where parking is at a premium where this device might be a good choice for moving people around in short distance. But for the primary use of going to and back from work, this isn't going to cut it.
My last 3 jobs's distance from where I live: 25, 21, 17 miles. And I'm far from being atypical.
They've already paid for Cowboy Bebop. Dropping them does not save them any money. In this case, it's more likely that the show was suspended for content reason.
Episode 5, "Ballad of the Fallen Angel" opens with a mobster singing a peace treaty with his enemy, boarding a plane that's promptly blown up. Episode 6 "Sympathy for the Devil" features a long flashback sequence where the 1/4 Moon was accidentally blown up 70 years prior to the show.
Cowboy Bebop, the name actually makes sense. In the future of 2071, there are about 30000 bounty hunters all over the Solar System, and by trade, they are sometime known as cowboys. Hell, even the bounty hunter TV trade show "Big Shot" which lists the biggest bounty available is shot with an exaggerated Western theme.
Bebop is the name of the space ship that housed the crew of the show. It's named by the ex-cop owner who also happens to be a jazz lover, and the soundtrack to the show is a mixture of jazz and other music.
There will be 2 R1 DVD release of Akira. Both version will contain the newly restored version of Akira with new dub by Animaze. The special edition is a 2 disk boxset that contains more extras.
No. Outlaw Star is based on the Toward Stars novels Outlaw Star. There is a side-quel Angel Link that also take place in the Toward Stars universe that's due next year from Bandai. Unfortunately most people who like Outlaw Star hated Angel Link.
I actually watch the first episode of Inu-Yasha. It's good. Very different from the other Takahashi manga adopted TV sized series (Maison Ikkoku, Ranma 1/2) in that the cleanup and coloring process appeared to have been computer aided.
Cells are drawn by hand, and scan into computer. Line clean up is done via computer software, and computer coloring is than applied. What you get is a more consistent coloring, and very clean line. That has been the major developement of the past 2 years.
Yes they do. BV Japan (Disney distribution arm in Japan) requested that they leave out the Japanese track to prevent reverse import. DVD movies cost $70 in Japan compare to $30 US SRP.
Don't need APEX. Generation 1 of Playstation 2 (which finally give the DVD industry in Japan the final killer app push) has a very easy to defeat region coding feature that has really put the scare into industry. Especially when they are charging $70 per disk comparing the the US SRP of $30.
Highly unlikely. They couldn't even get the entire show broadcast on normal TV in Japan due to content. As for American broadcast standard, every adult main characters (3 of them) smoke like they cured cancer and drank beer to hard liquer. Drug (in 2071 newer and more exotic drugs are available) use is somewhat rampant. And don't even get me started on what they need to cut out in terms of violence.
My suggestion would be "The First $20 Million Is Always the Hardest" by Po Bronson, his second novel. It's a thinly disguised novel about Silicon Valley culture and fictional creation of a Java-like universal language.
Strangely both of Bronson's novel deals with workplace. His first novel, Bombadier is about the absurd happening in a bond sales office.
I once sat in a trial where Boies was a character witness. It is revealed that the top anti-trust attorney usually billed @ $500+ / hour. From another news source, Boies supposedly is billing only $33.33 / hour.
From his law firm's accountant's POV, I would cringe at his billing rate to DOJ. He does have a law firm to support, and bringing in large billable account is the responsibility of the senior partner. Even at $500 / hour, DOJ is getting a good value. @ $33.33 / hour, DOJ is essentially getting his service free.
DOJ is getting the legal bargin of the century. David Boies' normal billing rate is $500+ / hour. Of course when you considered that his cases have billions of dollars at stake, $500/hour is a bargin.
Microsoft did try to get another 6 month extension in their initial dragged the trial onto infinity stragety. The judge denied that motion, and here we are.
A sign outside of your house stating that anyone entering the house would be shot when spotted. That kind of sign/agreement will not held out in court.
Hum, that is similiar to what Network Associate is doing last year. They setup a independant company outside of US, with the aim of reverse engineering the code, so they won't get tag by ITAR.

4. We haven't gotten there yet.
I believe the prefered term is "near side" for the side that faces Earth, and "far side" for the one away.
That's what a +20 mace would do. I've played RPG for a while now, and that scene in the prologue was the best illustration of a highly powered weapon.

And you'll be left with a horrible English dub, no subtitle.
I'll take the restored image with vastly improved dub track and the option of watching it in Japanese with subtitle any day of the year.
Aren't we the elitist. Did you actually watch this show's dub track before you make your comment?

Because the guy who own this web site likes anime. Lots of techie loves anime. If you don't like it, don't read it.
Melfina's nudity isn't too much of a problem. All of the exposured parts are covered by the connection tube itself.
As for Fred Lou beig gay... I'm still trying to figure out how they are going to handle Fred's impending marriage problem.
And of course there is the Hot Spring planet episode...

Well, technically those tits are not on a human woman... I mean would you want go go around and put clothing on fish?

Calm down boy. The original 36 episode Macross is going to be release on DVD by AnimEigo later this year.

They follows John Carmack's rule of game release: We'll release it when it is done, or it'll be ready when it is ready.

Perhaps a better example would be this:
