    Official rates doesn't tell all the truth: in societies where women are repressed, rape cases are likely to go unreported. BTW, it's very unlikely that there are more cases of rape in the US, where there is not a tradition of classifying some women are outcasts, nor anyone there says that outcast women deserve rape.

    it's $199 retail. when you buy a new computer the included windows license costs your OEM a lot less. more like $50 or less depending on volume and discounts

    Depending on the crapware that comes preloaded in the computer the OEM cost may be even negative.

  6. Think about all of effort and money spent to get the system working. If they change the system all of that will have been a waste! There must be some return to all of that investment in keeping the system running for all those years.

    Your point does not contradict mine. Not everyone will skip all ads. And even you do not pay attention to them you get exposed to the brand, which is the aim of most advertising (or at least, of the biggest advertisers, like Coca Cola, McDonald's &c.).

    No, they are not, what would be the point of paying to be seen if it was in a place that no-one saw? Quite the contrary, the more potencial viewers, the more broadcasters can charge advertisers for spot length and frequency.

    Advertisers have earned the wrath of pretty much everyone now by being forceful and greedy. Basically they act like we owe them something and they're wrong.

    That's because we are watching a show that it is them that have paid for.

    So are you implying that the release of carbon to atmosphere saved us of a global cooling? Perchance the best option would be putting aside the global warming and starting controlling the climate.

    Back then, the limit was in your phone. Or in your computer's storage. They could offer unlimited data while most people had not resources to use all that. I guess they were being naïve at first and fraudulent later.

    People on planes already know they are dead if a hijacker takes over, and will respond accordingly.

    How will people respond accordingly if it's illegal to carry a gun into a flight? Is there an officer in each flight?
