    Exactly. All I see this program as being capable of doing is translating the Maya geometry and shaders into the Renderman REYES based geometry and shaders. MTOR already does this, and anyone that usually buys PRman (Pixar's implementation of the Renderman standard), will also get MTOR. Besides, the really cool effects on LOTR where done using Radiosity and global illumination, which at the moment is not supported by the Renderman standard.

The actual percentage of population of people who have access to broadband is therefore much higher than 67% since Households usually constitute more than a single person.

    YES!!! The sole source of someone's intellect is in what type of computer they use. I think it is about time that we abolish Sat's and instead allow entrance into college based on what operating system you use. Using windows? Sorry buddy, it's off to McDonalds to flip burgers for you. Using a Mac? Congratulations sir, and welcome to Harvard University. Ofcourse, the superiority of Unix means that all linux users are exempt from going to college and will instead be given a PhD automatically.

    Seriously man, your choice of operating system has nothing to do with your level of intellect. Are you going to condemn all the 3d artists at Blizzard who use 3dmax (a windows only program) as being stupid just because they use windows?

    Sympatico here in Canada is implementing a 5gig upload/download limit. I think they will charge $8 for every extra gig that you download. While I am not opposed to a transfer limit, why don't the broadband providers limit our download rate once we reach our transfer limits.

    E.g. If I download 5 gigs by the middle of June, the broadband provider can reduce my speed to 10k/bs a second until the beginning of next month. If I want to download more, then I can just call them up and ask for a higher transfer limit, which I will obviously pay for.

    Stolen from some website:
    Remove Windows Messenger
    Contributed by Claus Bruun and many others
    It seems that a lot of people are interested in removing Windows Messenger for some reason, though I strongly recommend against this: In Windows XP, Windows Messenger will be the hub of your connection to the .NET world, and now that this feature is part of Windows, I think we're going to see a lot of .NET Passport-enabled Web sites appearing as well. But if you can't stand the little app, there are a couple of ways to get rid of it, and ensure that it doesn't pop up every time you boot into XP.

    If you'd like Windows Messenger to show up in the list of programs you can add and remove from Windows, navigate to C:\WINDOWS\inf (substituting the correct drive letter for your version of Windows) and open sysoc.inf (see the previous tip for more information about this file). You'll see a line that reads:

    msmsgs=msgrocm.dll,OcEntry,msmsgs.inf,hide,7

    Change this to the following and Windows Messenger will appear in Add or Remove Programs, then Add/Remove Windows Components, then , and you can remove it for good:

    msmsgs=msgrocm.dll,OcEntry,msmsgs.inf,7
