You, sir, have just posted your way in a very exclusive database somewhere deep in the basement of the Department of Homeland security.

As your post contained that same data, you my find your was to the same database. Just to ensure national security I'm sure someone at DHS is recording every IP that viewed the dangerous information and is preparing a round of illegal wiretaps. Hey look a black helicopter, what's with this strange red dot?

I use auto commercial skipping, there is an option on the back end that enables flagging as the program progresses.

  10. Re:That's because they need MythTV on DVRs Help Some TV Shows Improve Ratings · · Score: 1

The cost for this is the time to do the flagging. I have to watch today's shows tomorrow if I want it to work. That isn't much of a problem for me, but it might not work for everyone.

I don't know how you MythTV is setup but my commercial skip happen very quickly, even while the program is still recording, on an hour long program I can start around the 20-25 minute mark and finish the episode at the same time as the live TV viewers with all of the commercials skipped automatically.

Well five years ago after drinking excessively and watching the first Harold and Kumar film my friend and I decided to go to the nearest Whit Castle, which according to Google Maps was in Detroit beating out some where in New York State by 30 km. The next day we drove through to Detroit through a sow storm, at the border in the interest of full disclosure I told the guard that we were headed to White Castle, he then spent the next 15 minutes questioning us on things like our current employment, income source, drug use etc...Once we arrived a White Castle, we found that there were 2 drivethroughs no dinning room and 2 inch plexiglass covering the walk up window, with some guy sitting on the ground beside the door asking for spare change (my friend gave him a loonie) we ordered, ate in my car with and headed back for the 6 hour return trip. The Canadian guard asked 3 quick question and we were back on our side of the border, the burgers were ok, but not worth the trip. I decided to limit my cross border food runs to Olive Garden and Cracker Barrel not necessarily in that order.

Or, they think it's drugs. Just because 2 guys were driving from Ontario to Detroit to eat at White Castle after watching Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle does not mean there's drugs in the car.

It's an interesting point, I remember in the first episode of Penn & Teller: Bullshit! Penn Jillette said "...you'll notice more obscenity than we usually use...It's also a legal matter. If one calls people 'liars' and 'quacks' one can be sued and lose a lot of one's money...If we said it was all scams, we could also lose a lot of money. Bullshit's pretty safe."
