I totally agree with you. Just look at Need For Speed Hot Pursuit. The requirements state that you should have an Xbox360 controller for your PC, to play it. WTF!!! I have a $300 G27 wheel why would I use and XBOX360 controller. And the game is made for the controller. Its just a shitty console port. I got a refund it was sooo bad. But this is what we are seeing more and more of. games developed for the console and then ported over to PC.
As opposed to every other channel. News flash! All TV channels want ratings. Its like saying that a restaurant doesn't want customers. I only go to those restaurants that make food no one else wants. Those are the best.
Yes and they took the top for most energy efficient because energy costs so much. My 850 square foot apartment cost me almost 3 times as much to heat and cool as the 1950 square foot townhouse i rent now in eastern Washington. My energy bill in Concord Ca. which is in the bay area was $250+ a month. Here in eastern Washington. $85-$105 a month.
Yea I have to agree, the first thing I though was that this lady planned this to get $ out of a settlement. In the article the lady says that she trusted the tech and felt that he had her best interest in mind. Really!!! You trust some random guy from India that you have never met. It all just seems fishy to me.
I agree with this to some extent. It really depends on the game. FPS games I really only like the MP. SP seems to be so repetitive and boring. The AI just sucks compared to a real person. On a game like GTA the single player was the best, although the MP was fun. I was pleasantly surprised with Dirt 2. The single player was fun, but wow the MP just blew it away. After 200 hours of MP, if I try to play SP then I have to turn it up to the hardest difficulty and even then I just smoke the AI. I still think MP is where it is at, no matter how good AI is it will never compare to playing against "real" people. And I use the term never loosely, because I am sure one day it will be able to compete.
I work for a CU with abotu140 employees and 13 branches in 2 states. We are our own department. We have a CIO and 2 Techs. The CIO reports directly to the CEO.
The sad thing is that the rich ones will not be effected. The ones that will be effected is the working stiffs. The upper management and executives will easily find work somewhere else. Its the people work in circulation and Ad ops that will lose there jobs. Also a lot of graphic artists.
A. No, federal and state studies have consistently shown that the drivers most likely to get into accidents in traffic are those traveling significantly below the average speed. According to an Institute of Transportation Engineers Study, those driving 10 mph slower than the prevailing speed are six times as likely to be involved in an accident. That means that if the average speed on an interstate is 70 mph, the person traveling at 60 mph is far more likely to be involved in an accident than someone going 70 or even 80 mph.
Q. Aren't most traffic accidents caused by speeding?
A. No, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) claims that 30 percent of all fatal accidents are "speed related," but even this is misleading. This means that in less than a third of the cases, one of the drivers involved in the accident was "assumed" to be exceeding the posted limit. It does not mean that speeding caused the accident. Research conducted by the Florida Department of Transportation showed that the percentage of accidents actually caused by speeding is very low, 2.2 percent.
Maybe do some research before guessing and using fallacies.
Yea they just want you to pay the fine. It has nothing to do with your record. Where I live they will take $50 off the ticket if you go in and say you want a trial. The court clerk then says if you pay today then we will take $50 off. That is why they also let you just mail the ticket in with your fine and so on. The point is to get you to pay the fine, with the least amount of administration cost. That way revenue goes up. If we fought 10% of the tickets then it would cost the City, state or whatever more than it is worth.
Yes but that does not mean you are correct 100% of the time. That is the point of our court system. I agree that you and most trained officers are very good at it, but you are human and therefore fallible. Again that is why we have the judicial system. You have to agree that speeding tickets are a huge money maker and that speeding does not equal higher accident rates. Distracted driving is much more dangerous than someone going 65 in a 55. Especially since cars have evolved a lot and can brake at much shorter distances than say 50 years ago.
Yea people just don't get it. Posting on Facebook is actually worse then just bitching to your friends at the bar after work. What is shocking is that people are actually surprised when they don't get the job or are terminated over something they said on Facebook or twitter or whatever.
I thought this story was going to be about Easter Eggs that were planted by Chinese hackers and were just called black duck eggs.
Turns out they are actually talking about black duck eggs...WTF
This is one of the stupidest articles i ever read. I think I am more stupid for having read it.
Do they come with instructions on the best way to infect someone? I'm in but I would like some instructions, how do I give them to say some jerk who cuts me off in traffic? Or some douche talking on his cell phone in the movie theater?
So if your buddy follows this advice, How do you buy things online?
The answer is that nothing is safe. No matter what it is in life it has risks. You just have to do your best to mitigate those risks and hope for the best.
Like this matters! Who can ever get new releases from Netlix when they come out? Every time I add a new movie that is popular(I.E. The Hangover) it sits in my queue with the words "Very Long Wait" for three months. So its not really an issue. Who has Netflix for new releases?
I have said this for years, glad its finally being widely accepted. My coworkers when ghosting machines would be fanatical about changing the SId's. I have a bad memory and would often forget to change them with no problems. I finally just started skipping the step of changing SID's and never had any adverse issues. When I told me coworkers about this they would rattle off a liteny of problems that I "could" encounter. After 10 years its nice to know I was right all along.
So now a drum roll please......
IN YOUR FACE....MY COWORKERS!
No but if you went into the house and eat there food and watched tv. Maybe helped yourself to some of there belongings, then you should be prosecuted. I dont really agree that he should have to pay to fix the holes, but if he took data, which is essentialy property he should be held accountable. Again we need to stop blaming the victim. Just because I leave my car unlocked does not give you the right to steal it or the property inside it. Its still theft. Just like a store. They dont lock up all their merchandise, so that means you should be able to just take it without paying for it? No of course not, its still stealing.
firs off let me preface this....I have a 360 and a gameing PC. I find it refreshing that the console scrubs have to wait for once. Pc gamers are always getting the short end of the stick and have to wait for there version to come out. I.E. Battlefield 1943. Suck on that console gamers. It sucks when the game doesn't come out on your chosen platform, doesn't it?
How is this new? This has been going on long before computers. The snake oil salesman used to do it all the time, they would have somone in the crowd claim fantastic results to sell something that was worthless.
What you mean I can't believe every review posted about a product or application? Critical thinking.... what is that? Idiocracy is happening already, humankind is doomed!
Maybe its just the conspiracy theorist in me, but I thought the same thing when I read the story. I was just about to post it when I read your comment. Could have been Georgian terrorists.
I get really tired of all the whining. Its real simple, if you dont like the price then dont buy it. This is nothing new, they sold Vista in China for about $69 due to high piracy rates. I preordered Home Premium for $50. Very cheap if you ask me, hell most games cost $50. So to get a windows OS for that is really great. Even the retail of $199 is very good. I mean this is something you buy what once every 6 or 7 years.
Again its real simple, no one is forcing you to buy the software, if you think the price is too high then keep your money in your pocket.
I totally agree with you. Just look at Need For Speed Hot Pursuit. The requirements state that you should have an Xbox360 controller for your PC, to play it. WTF!!! Come on Steve....you are not fooling anyone. We know its you.
As opposed to every other channel. News flash! All TV channels want ratings. Its like saying that a restaurant doesn't want customers. I only go to those restaurants that make food no one else wants. Those are the best.

Proof you cant fix stupid.....
Well it looks like the Green damn has begun to flood the world.
The sad thing is that the rich ones will not be effected. The ones that will be effected is the working stiffs. The upper management and executives will easily find work somewhere else. Its the people work in circulation and Ad ops that will lose there jobs. Also a lot of graphic artists.
Show me some research to the contrary, instead of just rhetoric.
Taken from that National Motorists Association.
Q. Isn't slower always safer?
