    I know its sposed to be Inocent until proven guilty but the system now treats defendants as guilty until proven innocent.

    before I get jumped on the statistics are that approx. 70% of people who are charged will be found guilty. I know about the court processes and people have a chance to be judged by there peers buts thats theory does it really happen in practice?

    So some Judge has found a loop hole good on him.

    ................ at visible wavelengths, a space telescope can do some things a ground scope can't, like take a continuous week long exposure. A ground based scope can compensate somewhat with a bigger mirror, and thus accomplish a similar shot in a shorter exposure, but it just can't manage that kind of continuous observation. (And, to take a week long exposure with a ground based scope, you'd basically need three weeks worth of observation time, because you can't see that star you want during the day, or when it is obscured by trees near the horizon, etc.

    Okay maybe the word obsolete is a bit harsh .....

    to me the questions Nasa should be asking are -

    How do we get the most out for our dollar ?

    i.e. - Can the goal be achieved with less money on the ground ?

    Is the risk of sending people to repair the hubble worth it ?

    I can read between the lines ....

    Nasa does not want to fix the Hubble as there budgets have been cut. They want to put the money for fixing the Hubble into something else.

    The Hubble is also Obsolete due to new technologies like Adaptive optics that allow ground based telescopes to achieve the same clarity as the Hubble.

    to make a uranium 235 bomb explode (go super critical) is relatively easy. You shoot uranium 235 at a target of uranium 235 it goes boom.

    to make plutonium 239 bomb explode ( go super critical) is technically very difficult as you have to make all of parts of a sphere of plutonium 239 implode at the exactly the same time. once you do that it goes boom.

    A 17 year old isn't a little kid. They serve in our armed forces and often are tried as adults. Some might be not as mature as others, but we aren't talking about a 7 year old giving a temper tantrum.

    I'm sorry to disagree with you but I remember being 17 and I was just a kid. I wasn't an Adult really in thinking till I was 21.

    As for 17 years olds being tried as adults sounds like an issue with your legal system to me.

    Wether or not you can serve in the armed forces doesn't mean your an adult just means your more likely to follow orders with out thinking. - Which is really my point.

    Now I look back I didn't understand the consequences of my actions till I was 21 . I suspect this has got to do with Brain development.

    Sure in the article it says he got it from the family safe but should it have been that easy ?

    why was the ammunition stored with the gun ? As I understand it even with pro gun people thats a no no.

    When I look at the article on BBC website that kid looks like he has the 1000 yard stare they talk about in the movie full metal jacket or was it 100 yard stare?

    anyway I have read that people who have been in combat too long they get this stare and thats what this kid reminds me of.

    QR codes are widely used in Japan they are literally on everything -

    Why I think they are so popular is that japanese (kanji/hiragana/katakana ) is hard to type on a mobile phone.

    With QR codes you just take a picture and your phone goes to the website.

    Microsoft Tags don't sound that different except you have to use Microsoft to access the info.

    going on past court cases most large companies like to settle out of court. I cant see why this will be any different.

    who's to say the mosquito didn't come from somewhere else?

    unfortunately (fortunately ?) the suspect has linked himself with the crime. "saying he had hitchhiked and was given a lift by a man driving the car" which will make the lawyers job much harder.
