Exactly. I upgraded to 10.2.8 almost immediately after it was released and have yet to have any problems on the machines I have installed it on. It is too bad that a fairly large amount of people (although by far still the minority) are having problems. Hopefully this will lead to better QA in Apple's part in the future.
Except is plainly says "XP Home" in his message, after which you went and showed him the price for XP Professional. Did you read your own URL? It's $99 (upgrade from any Windows version released in the last 5 years) according to the CORRECT URL: found here. Sheesh.
Have you ever used Outlook Express or do you just blindly bash it? If it OR Outlook crash while rendering/reading an e-mail message it will not render the message the next time Outlook/Express is started. This is not a vulnerability. Nor is it a "vounerability".
You must be using a different version than I do. On my 1.8 GHz laptop (512 MB, RedHat 8.0) it takes Eclipse 2.1-motif 9 seconds (no plugins, no open files) to start up the second time.
But how long does it take to startup the first time, as I'm sure that's what the original posters comment was referring to. Obviously it is going to startup faster the second time as a majority will probably still be cached in RAM.
You should have done a bit better testing before doing a cutover on a server that affects many users such as a Terminal Server. Researching something like this definatly would have helped. Just throwing in the CD and hitting 'upgrade' and 'setup' is not going to work on a complicated application 90% of the time, no matter if it is Windows or Unix.
I wasn't serious, I'll just have to buy it at home, I don't think my employer would appreciate a bunch of hits to techass.com. Thanks for the recommendation though.
Why don't you just tell the truth instead of some childish "it magically found it's way onto my computer, twice!" joke. If you're going to download an unauthorized copy of a private seed then at least have the courage to tell the truth and stand up and say that's what you did.
Any press is not good press when Apple is releasing a private, most likely buggy version of a program out to supposedly selected, trusted developers. Apple does not want the seeds out to the general public in that form, that is what the public betas are for!
Why waste the time going through all that trouble when their development community has already shown them multiple times that they cannot be trusted with privledged information? It's simpler to just cancel the seed program and space the public betas out.
You don't think it is childish for a "developer" to AGREE to all the terms of the seed program, and then purposely break those terms so that he can seem "cool" for leaking the seed? Apple is not the one that needs to grow up here, the immature developers that cannot keep their agreements are the ones who must grow up.
Instead of blindly bash Microsoft, you should know that there has been an option in Internet Explorer to disable Automatic Image Resizing since the feature was implemented. Tools -> Internet Options -> Advanced -> Multimedia -> Enable Automatic Image Resizing. Blind Microsoft-Hater.
This Gateway 9300 PIII-450 was purchased in December of 1999 and it has working firewire, I don't understand how it is not included on all laptops now. It really shouldn't be a "feature" anymore, it should just be standard.
Bad choice on using the.int TLD. It IS A REAL TLD.
For those that read the post but might not have understood the correct usage -- please do *not* use.int as a TLD for internal purposes --.int is a valid TLD (see http://www.un.int , http://www.worldbank.int , http://www.wto.int , etc.). RFC2606 specifies that you can use.test,.example,.invalid, or.localhost, which makes sure that you don't conflict with other TLDs. It is fine to use ".int" (or anything else) as a host name or subdomain, such as "hostname.int.example.com", just not as a TLD ("host_name.int" or "hostname.example.int").
The point of H-1B is that is it normally temporary. Since it is KNOWN that it is probably TEMPORARY it is your fault if you CHOOSE to buy a house and don't have the time to sell it. We have this wonderful thing called rent here.
I came to
USA on an H1B visa.
"What makes America Great". Most say - "oh they had vast resources to begin with". I contended myself with that for a month until I familiarised myself with the geography and realised that south of Texas everything was in similar shape as India. So that didn't make any sense.
Maybe you should have spent more time learning the geography of the country who is providing you with a job instead. South of Texas is not part of the USA, that's called Mexico.

Your URL for the priceless picture doesn't work, would be nice to see how the "buy your picture" photo's look for the TTD.

You're the reason they had to make Duplo blocks and "safety scissors" huh?

Yes, it's all a big conspiracy. Microsoft has also purchased all the tin foil companies, there is no safety. You cannot hide.
There are *3* service packs for Windows 2000, not 6. Do some research (http://www.microsoft.com/windows2000/downloads/se rvicepacks/default.asp) next time instead of taking a random guess.

I cannot buy anything from a company whose website is www.techass.com. Too many goate.cx possibilities.
Don't know you the release date already? It's when it's done , duh! Even if my grandchildren will be walking with a cane by then.

And dear lord, it's the...23rd!

Oh no! That's almost 8 hours between postings on the middle of a Saturday Night. Cure your addiction.

Way to copy an AC post and get a +5 for it. Good ole Slashdot moderation.

This has nothing to do with the DMCA, apparantly you don't understand how things with when dealing with Trade Secrets.

Ooh, you really got me! Maybe that's why I said "unless you're blind"?
