It may be a collection of mismatched software components, but give them 15 years of updates, redesign, Apple not focusing on the enterprise market, Linux folks attempting to do it with half baked scripts, and they'll be the undisputed king of collaboration software. Much like the exchange is the king of enterprise email. (Yes, I'm aware of the Notes, but other than those 2, does anyone run anything else for tens of thousands of email accounts? Postfix?)
I am always amazed at the quality of forensics in cases like this, or aviation accidents and such.
I mean this thing exploded, or better yet disintegrated how many hundreds (thousands) of meters in the sky, scattered its debris all over BFE, and yet they can still piece together enough information to deduce who was unbuckled, who wasn't wearing gloves, and who didn't have their visors down.
I don't think this is a single point of failure. Now, of course I didn't read the article, but according to this map of submarine communications cables, middle east has more than one cable reaching it.
Well, I don't care about anyone else, but I'm super glad I've invested in all the software that requires an IBM-Compatible PC with at least 233MHz and a Sound-Blaster (tm)-compatible sound card.
One thing all of us Apple users *really* wish for is that, instead of taking our Mac to the Apple store, or local authorized repair center, is that we would have to dial an 800 number, get connected to "Peter" in the middle of India and spend the next 45 minutes listen to him apologize and tell us what we need to do before he can send us to Level 2.
Oh, come on! A blodied wreslter yelling "You've got a problem with that!?" at the end of the MS commercial doesn't do it for you? What's next in the MS's wacky ad campaign? Hugo Chavez saying "I'm a PC too!"?
Microsoft is concerned about hardware support? OK, I can guess that they caught a lot of flak for the recent drivers situation with Vista, but shouldn't they be more upfront about software support?
Of all the computer problems, how many of us are impacted by hardware? Yes, the hard drives die, and occasionally something will hiccup, but for every one of those issues, there are 10 "my computer is running slower now than a week ago", or there is a crazy file that I can't delete, or "I'm getting notices to buy a spyware cleaner". For all those issues, who do people call? Not Microsoft... Pfft, they call Dell, HP, or whomever they bought their box from. So then Dell and HP in turn end up doing Microsoft software support. (Unless they just forward you to Microsoft's call center in India.)
There was Star Wars: Battlefront which allows you to play battles from both classic, and new eras of SW. It was pretty nice, they also did have air/space battles.

It's insightful, not funny..

v.2
"Or we could teach kids about Linux which doesn't normally require defragmenting or virus scanners. "
Exactly. I (a Mac user) was about to make a funny quip about that too, but it's becoming sad and pointless any more.
Instead of wasting your time on this kids, it's better to waste your time on that...
Well, I don't care about anyone else, but I'm super glad I've invested in all the software that requires an IBM-Compatible PC with at least 233MHz and a Sound-Blaster (tm)-compatible sound card.
"And -I tell you confidently - there are more ways to skin a cat than the US way."
Yes, but our ways have the biggest boobs!

Summary:
- there's no sound
- looks like a bunch of vibrating strings.
We always say stuff like "Now let me just say this!" and "Let me tell you something"!
Mr. Reaper did.
I think he was talking about his hedging business or something.

Not to be a jackass, but outside of the USA, "people walking on the moon" is also a niche market.
What happens here technologically, propagates to the rest of the world in its due time.

Run away, they're Klingons!

Fascinating. Your cluck-foo is admirable and inspirational.
whoo boy, did your parents ever roll the useless numbers. Hah, what else? +4 dexterity, but -2 charisma?
End of spam in 2006, bitches!
His own original idea.
Damn, I want one already. But it'll probably be pretty expensive.
Maybe Samsung will make a cheap knockoff, that sets off randomly.
There was Star Wars: Battlefront which allows you to play battles from both classic, and new eras of SW.
It was pretty nice, they also did have air/space battles.
Because Dell doesn't come with UNIX.
And those who do not understand UNIX are doomed to what?
Except of course that Ahmadinejad, Jong-Il, and Chavez are not impressed by our chest thumping.
And to be honest, us Nebraskans ain't complainin' either.
So basically it will look like Grand Theft Auto 2.
I hope some of us remember what it looked like before it went 3D.
