Basically what I'm saying is why does a degree in economics / business cost even close to the same as a person studying to be a molecular biologist / robotics engineer / etc that has to have some serious expenses.

I know someone out there is using my software illegally so that amounts to 100 billion in piracy per hour per day per year. If I could just force people to buy my software I could afford to let you all work for me or starve to death. Your choice. Also I would rename every country and continent to my name. I think they should enact a 10-20-life policy for kids who get caught with multiple jolly ranchers with intention to distribute or consume. If they get caught with paraphernalia (candy wrappers) they should be fined, given 5 days detention, and put on probation.

I think the best part is they spend more time and money trying to ensure that less people are able to use their product. Where most of us spend more time and money to lower the overall cost of our product so that we can distribute it to a higher number of people. Must be nice to have a set price that people are willing to pay for a product and just worry about the people who given the option should I spend $20 on a video or save it for something else I need. Seriously if there are close to 6 billion people out there and you have a video like Avatar where practically everyone would watch it but you charge 20-30$ for it you could have 4x the viewers if you charged 5-8$ and they might be inclined to see the sequel. I know this will rub the cost of distribution, marketing, etc people the wrong way but seriously if you have a product that can be distributed over the internet with minimal overhead until the person purchases it then why not try lowering the price until you notice your profit margin slim to within 5%. I know Disney would roll over in his grave where they do the reverse by pulling their product for a extended period of time until the demand comes back for their product.

But if you ask me very few truly represent what I would consider worthy of their position. But you just don't know for certain until they screw up or their true character comes out.
If you ask me what we need to do is just record all of their conversations and make the ones that don't involve national security public after a year or so.
Would give us a good insight to the political process as well as the parties involved. And would seem to have the possibility of keeping them honest.

Instead of using porn for personal use they should have been Moonlighting by using the gov internet to host and distribute their own porn creations. Which if that is what you want to do basically degrade the quality of your images so that you can have nice sharp text than go for it. I think it looks terrible to see sharp text and fuzzy images on the same page. But I'm just a 2bit hack.

With high resolution comes high download times. I'm on a 46" 1920x1080 hdtv for a monitor. And I have a dual screen set to 1024x768 just so I can see what the Gen Pop uses and I have to design for. I rarely make a website that isnt fixed to 1024x768 screens. When you add in trying to make your site look the same in IE 9, 8, 7, 6; Firefox, Safari, Opera, Iphone, Android, and print well that is a lot of work. Add in the fact that some users can browse at 2048x1536 or god knows what resolution now it honestly isnt cost effective to overdevelop a site for most people just trying to make a dollar.

Smaller companies starting out sometimes get forced out of the business by cut throat practices, forced buyouts, etc. Usually the company that does the "Right" thing ends up on the short end of profits and gets forced out. Now if a company is both good and profitable that just means they are vastly superior to their competitors.

Tiger woods for example. A lot of famous people cheat. But when you get caught that is when the sponsors start pulling you and you end up loosing millions of revenue. Same thing for the average person just on a smaller scale.
Now when you start going to apply for jobs and the employer looks on your facebook page and see's your a freaky kinda guy you might end up at the bottom of the pile.

I think 3-5 weeks is a reasonable amount of time given the often complex nature of the problem. How long do you think it takes the bank to recover or catch the parties involved? Do they often recover the lost money?
Personally I would like it if I had a remote that I press that allows my debit card to be used for the next half hour and only when it is activated. Hard currency is on its way out of style so whoever designs the next big sec measure for debit will be laughing to the bank.
