    Me too. Once one becomes a reasonably well adjusted adult human being neither Ayn Rand nor Heinlein are very satisfying. Both are very appealing to adolescents, neither particularly good writers, but I will admit that they should both be on everyone's should read list.

    I aggree.

    There are so many models on crack that this is hardly news at all. Predicting when a model on crack will turn into a crack ho is a fairly exact science and I don't believe that this article addresses at all.

    So Xarius, your argument seems to be that between a nation-state that has demonstrated a consitent 50+ year history of professed and enforced anti-democratic, anti-free speech behaviors versus a nation-state that professes with, I'll grant you, some occasional blemishes over 200+ years, and enforces those democratic and free-speech rights that we should trust the former rather than the latter to benevolently administer the internet.

    Am I correct?

    I thought so as well.

    The first series while reasonably original content for a TV series really was a bad show with caricatures instead of characters. I suspect our current apologists for the old show are viewing it through the rose colored glasses of their pre-adolescence.
