To call Pixar pushy is to miss the point: right now they're getting screwed. Disney is getting 50% of their movies for doing nothing more than distributing. Pixar is investing years of labor and untold hours of computing time into making these as good as possible and Disney is pulling crap like not counting Toy Story 2 in the original 5 movie deal (Disney doesn't count sequels as new properties, even when they're immensely successful and have a veyr nice theatrical run). Pixar deserves whatever they can get, and Disney deserves the same deal that Fox gets for distributing Lucas' work: 15% or lower. That being said, I would also venture to guess that Pixar is looking to branch out into more adult fare as well. It's only time until a fully rendered CG film deals with adult themes (NOT porn...but that's a possibility too) instead of just catering to kiddie audiences. Finding Nemo was closer than anything else they've done, but my guess is that once Disney drops Pixar, they announce a PG-13 rated drama.
Sounds like though the engine worked as planned, everything else that had anything to do with the rocket, it's payload, camera, and rescue chute were fucked...
Now that you are supplying DRM Bios's I will no longer consider products containing your Bios's in any form. If you choose to help companies attempt to circumvent my civil rights, I will simply opt to circumvent your product.
Yours Sincerely and without regret,
In response to my email: Hello *******, Thanks for your thoughtful comments about Phoenix BIOS and DRM. I will pass them along to the appropriate people here at our company headquarters. We always appreciate comments from our users even if they disagree with us.
...Looks like the next time I upgrade, I'm trading in my P4 2.4c for a new G5 instead of a new P5. Perhaps someday Mac might be the majority not due to their software or design, but the fact that they like to have customers...
Probably gona be labeled falmebait...

Keep in mind, films can be digitally projected without being shot on digital cameras. The projection process and the shooting process are completely different. Films go through many iterations of digital and analog conversion, and the final product (whether it was shot, edited, or mixed on digital or analog) can be projected on either, so films shot on digital can be projected on good old film print, and films shot on analog, can be converted to be shown Digital Projection (which sucks compared to notmal analog projection, and will for the next couple of years).
As technology progresses, means of distribution and advertising also progress. As radio becomes obsolete (as much due to it's own decisions as technological progression), many would argue that File Sharing is not only an easier method of advertising, but potentially a much broader method as well. Coming from a person with 1200 MP3s (of which all are legal and a good half are owned because I originally downloaded a song that I liked) I personally prefer an open plethora of files to a closed Clearchannel fest of the same 40 songs over and over again. What would you say has to change if P2P and file sharing are to become a possible market for advertising and marketing music?
I'm not sure whether my first reaction is one of geek-interoperability heaven, or "1984"-style wariness. I guess my feelings are that for private citizens this could be a very cool idea, but for a general populace control/observance I'm a little worried.
This is noteworthy because normally there are large time spans between releases of DVDs and Sequels
Yes, well there are usually larger time spans between theater releases as well. Instead of the normal 2-3 year span, we're seeing 6-8 months. That'll affect the DVD/sequel time-span ratio;)
Wow, you bash Star Wars (even jokingly) and apparently people get all up in arms... I don't personally feel it was "off-topic" as that's how the name "Browser Wars" got to be. Also, I don't feel it was flame-bait as I was poking fun at many people's opinions of the current state of the Star Wars franchise...
I'm still waiting for a new planet to be added to our solar system. Hell, it's been a hundred odd years since the last one was found and some people are finding that one to be faulty? Come on people! NOTHING should take a century between updates!
Seriously, fuck Wal-Mart for trying to copy someone else's idea and expect to get rich off of it again. I feel about as bad about this as when I was told AOL/Time-Warner lost 90 Billion last year. I love Netflix for the way they revolutionized my DVD viewing, and will hence-forth be very protective of them.
What does the F.B.I. plan on doing about those international users of said p2p programs who violate copyright, or is this yet another act of the U.S. government pretending that people don't live outside the U.S.?
True, they do deserve the benefit of the doubt before we lay into them, but it seems the intellectual property/name has come into more hands than...well, I'm not gonna finish that joke...:)
Suffice to say, I'll pay attention, but it'll be hard to impress me.

I just bought a package...that means i helped!
Agreed, that's why I chose to post it, to show that actual people are reading/considering the emails.
Done.

Burn and Pillage boys, Burn and Pillage...
Sounds like we're about to enter the times of the Wild Wild Web, where vigilantism and marshal law run wild....sounds like fun to me!

Nope, actual film. It's digitized in the post-production process (as are 95% of films) but as far as the actual filming, it's on good old 35mm :)

No need to mod up, just helping out.
Thank you, after trying the WB servers for three hours, I appreciate this link (now getting 250kps, which is just about as fast as I can).
I get server connection resets after about 10 seconds...sheesh

geez...
The saddest part of all this is that it would make a far more interesting plot for the newest Star Wars than whatever Lucas has planned out...

Only Microsoft would invent a house where you need to ask permission to act like you live there...
