    diesel requires no new infrastructure, and we can gracefully move to biodiesel as the oil reserves are tapped out.
    Why is this only obvious to me? Why can't I buy a honda civic with a diesel?

    While the loss of jobs is a crisis to many of us, Yourdon makes note of the oil crisis of the early 1970s and a speech that Jimmy Carter made in April 1977. Carter said "If we fail to act soon we will face an economic, social and political crisis that will threaten our free institutions." Nearly 30 years after Carter made that speech, oil is at an all-time high and nothing has been significantly done to reduce our dependency on oil; or to find a better solution.

    Anyone making a statement like this is a kook... gas/oil has never been cheaper when adjusted for inflation

    The 'super volcano' risk sounds completely bogus... over time the earth is cooling (radiologically) so statistically the odds of something happening becomes less and less.

    NT4 could be run off of a FAT partition wher server 2000 would only use NTFS. Most of those 'benchmark' articles failed to mention what disk format was used for the tests.

    the reason they added a politics section is so you could add it to your filter list
