    If you take a zero sum view of world economics it makes sense. If I take the viewpoint of the devil taking someone soul makes sense too. I can't see any reason culturally or ethically why our nation wouldn't behave this way. Disaggreable but true.

    In fact, .Net is largely the latest kludge slapped on top of COM/DCOM to try and hide it's hideous complexity.

    You have to be kidding me-- .net has nothing to do with dcom/com, other than provide a wrapper that can be used with old components.

    Heat begets heat...
    Because of localized heating, you have to run higher voltages (to overcome resistance) which creates more heat...
    Using diamond will actually decrease voltages and heat.

    What's significant is that these companies have survived one of the worst tech retractions in memory. Not to mention that AMD was selling old non-competitive technology. I think at this point there is no where to go but up.

    I get a four pack of nimhydride aa for 10$ a pack. At that price i could get my money back from two uses. They also hold more amphours than a regular alkaline. One downside is they lose their charge, so not good for something like a fire alarm.

    I think that maybe this guy has a myopic viewpoint because he knows alot about stuff working. Maybe he should spend more time documenting all the failures and things that didn't work (like robots doing everything won't). I am sure that they far outnumber the ideas that worked.
