    Thats infinitly faster than the grep you get on Windows without "Services for UNIX"

    Interestingly enough, I believe that att may actually not fight the fine. Fighting it would be a PR nightmare. How can they justify with public support the position that they have to call people who explcitely desire to not be called?

    Fining att was a smart move by the fcc. If it was some scumbag telemarketing company that got fined they would probably care less what their PR appearance was.

    Many corporate companies I have worked for explicitly forbid bring a camera of any sort onto the campus. If a person is unhappy with such a restriction they should work somewhere else.

    I can't understand why they would use this approach, they should just come up with maximum levels of the signature compounds (ammonia and sulfer containing compounds) that are allowed outside of the farm.
    Sounds like a union dreamed this one up.

    Yes, I do ask that people always repeat verbal requests through email (it forces the writer to really think about what they are asking for).

    But other than that-- if I have to work with someone who wants to screw me that bad I will move on.

    I used to work in a chemical plant and was contantly banging my head on the piping. The hard hat made it even harder to see the pipes. I wouldn't want to be short though cause than I would want to be tall.

    Premier uses Quicktime as a rendering engine.. And as apple's little gem would be expected to be optimized on the mac.. It ran better on the athalon 64.

    I agree it was stupid to use premier as a test since it is redundant, the QT test would of been enough.

    As the block density goes up so does the transfer rate. A 300GB drive rate != 30GB drive rate.
    Access times will be similar though.

    30s? Business computing is only a decade or two old... It is still very experimental. I think people that incorporate computers into their business systems should expect to take a few arrows.

    Every time now when I get a cold, the night before I have a hard time sleeping.. My body is under a hightened state of awareness because it is under attack.
    Brain damage due to post-tramatic stress syndrome is also proven and well documented. This is a form of over-stimulation.
    Although I am no medical researcher I think the hypothesis that it may be bad for you is a good one.
