    LPs also give you a couple of nice size pages of interesting reading or imagery and are fun to play. Tapes ALWAYS sucked.

  4. At least MS didn't have the hubris to believe they can do anything on a whim. When they got into video games, they bought a successful studio and let them run semi-autonomously.

    If they are good or not is certainly a matter of opinion, but these shows certainly don't generate the buzz that GOT did.

    Don't even compare the two. HBO can make 'halo' offerings like GOT because they have decades of experience doing it. If you throw money at the problem you end up with barely watchable second-tier stuff like netflix which is the best apple can hope to do.

    Every indication points to the entertainment market being completely over-saturated. What makes Apple think they can do better than the existing studios?

    the trick is when you don't get what you want on the phone tell them to cancel your account and they will put you on with someone who can help you

    I know people who were working on it out here in NM. Simple explanation- it crashed.

    There was a guy that figured out how to gang magnetrons and create a coherent beam out of the output. Curiously all mention of this seems to have disappeared from the internet- I read about it about 10 years ago.

  12. It's not unreasonable to assume that with advances in computation and optics we can push this detection window out a lot further. Just a matter of will and funding....

    Yeah but when fillings fall out or crack getting them re-drilled is a PITA. I am sure they can come up with a cap that will dissolve away.

    ... or a banker. The whole financial system collapse in 2007 and banks knowingly laundering money for mexican drug cartels (look it up, I am not kidding) and not one arrest.

    Actually spent last 7 years desert racing (motorcycle) so I am pretty well acclimated to 'real' movement. The sickness seems to come from a disconnect of visual experience vs other sensory inputs.

  24. I would assume too that the smaller displacement diesels in cars are in a higher state of tune and run hotter.
