I can certainly see a business case for this. For a typical office worker wouldn't you rather just buy and administer a phone vs. laptop, desktop and a phone?
Wow you are picky- how about your claim that widgets are 'infinitely better' than live tiles? It's just something you click on to do something. The only way it could be infinitely better is if the live tiles were completely non-functional.
Most small farms take loans against the property to pay for equipment and improvements. Last time I checked a decent tractor is half a million dollars, and that was twenty years ago.
It's pretty simple actually- in fantasy the characters deal with typical human story arcs in whatever setting that it is. In sci-fi, people are are facing some dilemma that is new to the human race.
They could make a killing selling support for a Linux distribution . Lots of IT people are locked into Microsoft as a vendor and this would give them a good option.
It's funny you bring that up though- Feynman didn't have any of these 'wunderkind' attributes and claims he has an IQ of 125, yet was arguably brilliant and accomplished quite a bit.
Some people are surprisingly resistant to radiation- this guy lived to 64- they dug him up 15 years after he died and there was enough radioactivity in his bones they could expose photographic negatives.

I am not sure how life forms, but I can tell you that the ratio of elements on the planets are governed by a common set of physics that should be consistent throughout the universe. It seems probable that carbon based life forms predominate.
I thought this was a huge error in the Matrix- they should have been using the people's brains as 'cores' to actually run the matrix in which they were trapped. Could of added a lot of interest instead of the idiotic human battery thing....
Yes, I guess that is the issue. Enthusiasts are probably not going to shoot themselves cleaning their gun. Someone that is talked into buying a gun on television? A bit scary if you ask me.
I think you meant to say "Nearly the entire population, nowadays, speaks English"
Yeah I have to wonder about 'visionaries' like Lucas and Zuckerberg that hang around and suck every last bit of juice from their one creation.
If he wanted to do something artsy he could have sold the franchise to Quentin Tarantino for a dollar.
