Its not like everyone knows how to (and in some cases cannot afford to hire someone to) remove botnets from their machine. I hope the ISPs will provide this kind of support as part of standard service before they consider disconnecting users...
Yeah, I always wait just long enough for the RPMs to settle to normal during cold (less than 20 degress F) before I go. I figure that means everything is warmed up enough to circulate normally...
That's a neat perspective though I wonder if scientists have ever measured the radioactivity that is producing the heat or if this is a theory to explain measurements that scientists can't explain otherwise?
I work in the avionics industry and all of my work is modifying existing code or inserting new functionality into existing code. Using off the shelf engines would be the same as what I do every day.
It seems kind of like DRM (in an indirect way). Anything created to stop illegal activities will not slow down the crooks and instead end up making legitimate users pay more...
I was going to say that the game loop would take up CPU but if the hardware has good interrupt design then any game that doesn't require refresh without user input could be just about as efficient as reading text. Good point.
Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the kindle (and E Ink in general) most efficient as displaying the same thing? Why would I want something with a frame rate killing my kindle battery?
Could you also convince my place of buisness that making IE6 the manditory browser and not allowing installation of any other browser is a very lousy idea?
This I like

I can just see the first time you bump the speed dial on your cellphone while going down the freeway if this thing turns the car off as well as on...
Head hurtink muchly...
Well it would still make a good linux platform...
MacOS runs on an Atom processor? I obviously needed to do more research on Hackintoshes...
So as soon as she makes enough money working to afford the difference between an affordable PC and that Mac she can buy one.
I want to buy a mac because I'm a geek and have never used MacOS. Then again I've never used it because I'd rather pay off my house...
Yeah I know the origin of the term but using nuclear to describe non-nuclear items can lead to potential confusion among people who don't understand.
Then again, I've done work developing requirements so maybe I'm just more anal than most... (complete, consise, unambiguous...)

What happened to those? Sounds like an excellent power source...
Just curious...

Ok how about the Final Fantasy based movie or others that are supposed to be realistic CG movies?
Interesting power generation techniques come to mind but I think I'd better not post diagrams...

Yes but the iphone has pretty good display capability. The kindle has E-Ink. Not quite the same thing...

Just my bent $0.02

I lean towards Pat Robertson exceeded the amount of time his mouth should be opened. Unfortunately the earthquake missed...
You mean like a session of congress?
Yeah but are we ever going to go find it or just sit on earth and twiddle our thumbs?
Is that like the bottom bunk?
Agreed, I don't know how many times I go for Ctrl-F4 on my Lenovo and put the damn thing to sleep...
